Thatcher's Techbase, a Doom 2 mod that lets you descend into hell and defeat Margret Thatcher, has been removed from Bethesda's mod page.

cowards

The mod is still available on PC, but you can't play it on console anymore.

phew, pc stay winning

Don't worry, Thatcher is still dead in real life though.

good

isnt there a mission in the original call of duty black ops where you kill fidel castro?

[–] LeylaLove@hexbear.net 30 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Yeah it's one of the first missions in the game

[–] sweatersocialist@hexbear.net 40 points 2 months ago (1 children)

so funny how a AAA studio can put that in a game but a mod for a 30 year old game where you kill a fictionalized version of someone who actually deserves to be shot gets taken down

[–] GenderIsOpSec@hexbear.net 34 points 2 months ago (1 children)

the best thing though, it wasnt actually him i-cant

even in their propaganda pieces they can't kill fidel-peace

A really insulting depiction too, showing him hiding behind a woman; I recall a video of a journalist asking him (the real Fidel) if it was true about how he wears a bulletproof vest everywhere he goes, and he opened up his shirt and showed he wears no vest.

[–] sweatersocialist@hexbear.net 28 points 2 months ago

all time line in that interview, he opens his shirt, shows no vest, and says he’s wearing a moral vest. especially big dicked to do this in amerikkka at the time

Castro's one of those guys that it's like "even if only 1% of the stories are true... still, what a badass."

I think my favorite thing about Castro is that when he was pushed by the imperialists to adopt their economic policies for his country he never gave an inch and only went further left wing if anything.

[–] Verito@lemm.ee 17 points 2 months ago

Even better, he said "I have moral armor."

[–] anonochronomus@hexbear.net 9 points 2 months ago

"I have moral armor, it protects me always."

Realistically though, doesn’t the woman pull out an Ak and attack you if you save her?

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 27 points 2 months ago (1 children)

They have it both ways, the Castro you kill turns out to be a double and then the real Castro has you thrown in gulag

Found this video on it; just in case you decide not to watch it (I personally only skimmed it myself), my favorite line is "He (Jeremy Corbyn) was even invited on to good morning Britain, which he wisely declined; for those who aren't familiar with good morning Britain, it's a light magazine style breakfast show that Paul Verhoeven would cut from a movie for being a little too on the nose"

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

isnt this the Bethesda which is also notorious for subjecting its workers to inhumane psychological torture to improve muh producktivity and screwing over Mick Gordon? Very in character of them

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 17 points 2 months ago

Making Bethesda games is inhumane psychological torture by default

[–] Nakoichi@hexbear.net 16 points 2 months ago

I thought the Mortal Kombat devs

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 14 points 2 months ago

No you're thinking of a different Bethesda; Bob Bethesda; that dude sucked

[–] HexBeara@hexbear.net 20 points 2 months ago

As an Irish American I refuse to support Bethesda and their cowardice going forward. biden-leftist

No jokes allowed

They genuinely should take down all techbase wads.

Critical support to Bethesda.
