Agreed! So does this mean universal healthcare plus dental is on the horizon too?

It's even proven to make the line go down. As families have to buy less food to support their kids, grocery stores lower prices to entice shoppers back into spending as much as possible. Wouldn't be shocked to see the big chains beings major opponents of the free lunch groups.

You're right, and that's another fucked thing about it: sometimes the ruling class does the less profitable thing, especially when it comes to the long-term, sometimes for short term gain and sometimes just out of malice or spite for the poors.

Expanding food stamp programs puts more money into the economy than it costs per dollar, but that would be feeding the poors so fuck that, for example.

How is it that school lunches aren't already free? Why weren't they always free? It's such a bizarre thing to charge money for.

One of the major reasons they became free was because the Black Panther Party was doing free meals for kids and the elderly. This obviously made people more interested in their cause, while making the government look incompetent or malicious or both.

Since the BPP is a shell of its former self, the powers that be have no reason to keep free lunches.

i regret to inform you that there's no such thing as a free lunch

I used to just never eat at school. I was always kinda jealous of kids whose parents gave them money for lunch or did packed lunches

There's a communist in every stomach. Ironically, not feeding it makes it stronger
