Sounds like Walz got ez clapped.
But it still pisses me off they use “joy” and not “optimism”. The former just reeks of self-infantilization.
There is a very specific reason why they used the words “joy” and “the strongest military in the world”.
He didn't. But this was pretty much a stalemate in what could've been a bloodbath if Walz actually tried to attack.

He's got the energy of a debate kid and the education of an Ivy League shithead. He struggles to appear like a normal person, not like a smarty pants fast talker.

Yeah I'll be honest he's doing better than I was expecting. He's managing to not let himself get pinned down defending stupid things Trump, and even he himself has previously said, and has been fairly charismatic and articulate. Walz sounds incoherent at times, and keeps bringing up terminally-political-brained stuff without giving sufficient elaboration/context, so most normal people won't even understand what he's referring to. Vance is a piece of shit for sure, but he's surprisingly good at making Trump and himself sound palatable, if you didn't know better.
Harris and Walz need to stop bringing up Project 2025 in debates. All they have to do is say "no I don't support that, here's what I actually support". Immediate, easy deflect into a stump speech.

Exactly. He's really deft at framing, esp. in giving the viewers a permission structure to support Trump, and giving assuring, flip responses while avoid being pinned on satanic GOP positions, which is leaving Walz blathering, trying to clarify.

Lmao the questions seem to be weirdly pro-Trump for CNN. There's this question about calling Walz out on a lie about going to China during Tianamen Square. Kinda just bizarre.
It was funny how when he "answered" the question it sounded more like he was getting defensive about going to China at all, rather than just saying "well damn I guess I forgot the exact details of something that happened 35 years ago" even when they asked for clarification, he just kind of reiterated the original claim that he was there during the protests lol.
I've finally reached the point at which I understand enough about politics to not pay attention to politics.
