It opens up a whole new world that you never realized was there! Humans don't know what they're missing. 
Then meeting people would become a very intimate affair
if my face was less than a foot off the ground all the time, I would be sniffing everything all the time and no one could stop me.
Your nose needs to be wet first, a wet sniffer gets the best smells.
Who says I don't?
People would probably discover they have way better senses of smell than they think they do
