Now this is a conspiracy theory I can get behind!

The left can have a little QAnon, as a treat.

[–] MouthyHooker@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

We need a catchy name for it though. Libs already have BlueAnon.

New funny number just dropped.

The manifesto LE claims to have found on him is reported to have 262 words. Doesn’t match. And that YouTube account was a fake. Just seems like people want this to be an ARG and it’s not. I also heard the manifesto from Substack that was circulating (with no proof afaict) has a misspelling code in it, but haven’t reproduced that myself

What could be so damaging in those 24 missing words that the government doesn't want us to know?

The distance one is a bit suspect as that depends on the particular spot in manhattan you’re counting as the starting point.

Call me crazy but I would **guess ** it would be the scene of the crime.

I just checked to verify, and assuming (someone confirm for me) it was the McDonald's, 1500 9th Avenue Station Mall, Altoona, PA 16602:

As the crow flies its 232.050 miles.

By land transport its 277.516 miles.

.....sooooooo yeaaaaah...its a stretch but it kinda works.

Edit: Hold up...depending on the route you take it Could be 277 to 290 miles.....so...yeah....

[–] qaopjlll@hexbear.net 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Maybe it's the distance of the route he would've taken by train? Google tells me the ETA of the route but not the distance.

EDIT: NVM, Transitdocs says 327 miles from Penn Station to Altoona

[–] Xavienth@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

It's like 230 or 240 mi unless you're counting travel distance in which case you get to pick your number, which is a rather shitty way to do it if you're trying to convey a point.

Like at that point you're grasping at straws.

On April 27, 2013, the largest tiramisu-making lesson ensued in Japan with 286 participants... guess who was in attendance 👁️

Normally this type of shit is just Q Anon brain rot but I have to admit this is ... kind of compelling? Assuming it's all true of course, which I have not bothered to verify.

[–] SamotsvetyVIA@hexbear.net 31 points 1 week ago

that's how they get you

[–] Hermes@hexbear.net 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I checked breloom, tweet count and distance. Distance isnt quite 286, but its very close (278ish) this is probably a measurement error though. Otherwise its legit

[–] Xavienth@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Ok am I looking at a different Altoona, PA? Or a different NYC? It's like 230-240 mi and i don't understand how people keep getting this ~280 number

Edited to clear up ambiguous phrasing

[–] Hermes@hexbear.net 3 points 1 week ago

I think PA? I would check the news to be sure though
