Trump's return gives China a really good shot to be the next superpower in general

The U.S. isn't going to be any serious competition for much longer

[–] CitizenKong@lemmy.world 23 points 1 week ago

China is already the next superpower, but now the US will actively turn its back towards the rest of the world. Instead of China needed to fight its way to the top, the US will now give it a high five on the way down.

The CEO of Accuweather, Joel Myers, will love this. He’s been trying to completely privatize weather forecasting for years.

The traitors are going to strip everything good about this country, without Delay.

We the people must Deny this bullshit.

It might be time to Depose OUR country of these greedy, despicable pieces of shit.

Enshittify forecasts until they can't get one thing right, making them useless, causing companies to fail and people to lose their job... The great circle of shit.

Who needs NOAA when you have the bigliest gaslighting propaganda cabinet ever assembled.

All Trump needs is a fresh Sharpie and the weather is whatever he says it is.

[–] ATDA@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

He can mark the map however he wants. Private or public weather forecasting, doesn't matter. Democrats got the weatherachine.

Trump Admin 2: Fuck America Bugaloo will.leave us destitute and remove us from any serious global influences. Calling it now, by year 4 the US dollar will be so unstable it will no longer be used as reserve currency.

[–] TimLovesTech@badatbeing.social 7 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't purposefully tank the dollar to push Trump crypto coins, that will be regulation free and used for fraud/corruption/money laundering.

[–] Sanctus@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Theres a dark and twisted web being woven right in front of our eyes. It all goes hand-in-hand. Though the cryptos would.probabky crash with the rest of the market as nobody can use them for rug pulling anymore since no one can buy them.

Trump will legalize being able to pay your taxes with his crypto, and give you a 15% discount for using his crypto!

[–] thisorthatorwhatever@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

LOL, Trump will allow his rich friends to exchange their Bitcoin for U.S. gold reserves. All those tech bros are leaching onto him for a reason, they want the U.S. gold. He'll allow rich tech bros to pay their taxes in Bitcoin, meaning the U.S.A. will be broke in a year.

[–] NaibofTabr@infosec.pub 1 points 1 week ago (2 children)

It's ok because the government is going to buy bitcoin.

...and doesn't need any of that gold anymore. Trump gives away the gold to his friends. Bitcoin is the new USA reserve, LOL.

The growth stage of a civilization is marked in large part by the fact that people pursue wealth and power by effectively creating it - by recognizing needs and the resources that can be tasked to serve them and arranging the systems by which the needs will be served.

The maturity of a civilization is marked in large part by the mere rearrangement and refinement of the sources of wealth and power that were established in the growth stage.

The decline of a civilization is marked in large part by the cannibalization of those established sources of wealth and power - by an increasingly desperate and ethically and intellectually bankrupt scramble by the most determined rats to steal as much as possible while they can.

The US is well along the way to that third stage, and pretty much the entire point of the Trump presidency and particularly of Project 2025 is to facilitate it.

This will only help the oil barron supporting, billionaire loving, Reich wing. Now they'll get to point to the source as a reason to ignore it or "prove" the opposite is actually true because China.
