Memo to CNN: In no sense is it newsworthy that Bill Clinton had the flu.

I loved Slick Willy while he was in office, he presided over the greatest decade in American life, the 90's, one of such hope and progress, and relative safety, I'm quite sure we'll not see the like again while I'm on this earth.
That said, the Lewinsky stuff was embarrassing, and the repeal of Glass-Steagall set up the Subprime mortgage crisis and later the Global Financial crisis which saw the American people have to pay Billions to bail out banks, who weren't forced to change in any way, while average tax paying American citizens lost their livelihoods, homes, and in some cases their lives.
I'll always have a soft spot for Bill, I wish him well.
Bill Clinton was not a good president. A lot of the runaway capitalist bullshit we are dealing with now is directly because of the changes he made. Not to mention his name being on Epstein's list. Imagine what it would be like if we didn't have such a high ranking and powerful Democrat also in that book alongside the greasy shitstain-ketchup-cheeto.
Really? You're actually defending his "third-way" neoliberal bullshit?
I don't even care about the blowjob; Bill Clinton was a piece of shit president for reasons entirely unrelated to that.
Defending "third way" neoliberal bullshit is what lemmy is for.
As a person from the Middle East... well, I'll leave it at that.
Correlation ≠ causation, ∴ = conflation.
Oh no.
Anyway.
My thoughts exactly.
Hmm, wanna bet which of the living pres/former-pres dies first?
Uhhh
The answer is Jimmy Carter.
He's 100 years old.
He's a bad fart away from death, sadly.
He could still live a few years though. Honestly, between Clinton, Trump, Biden, and Carter - they're all at an age where it could be anyone of them.
We're all a bad fart away from death.
Jesus, what do you eat?
So he's already had sepsis once.
"Mr.Clinton has requested as many young female staffers as possible to help suck the microbes out of his body to expedite the healing process. He has had to be reminded repeatedly that such a process working is a myth. An anonymous source has said they have heard Clinton acknowledge that and is aware of the fact it is a myth. He has continued his requests as of this writing."
Hopefully someone changes the front page headline to something else when he dies like he did when his victims' testifiers went on the stand. He's a disgusting manipulative person.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998_bombing_of_Iraq This bombing was timed with the testimonies given during his impeachment, notably less testimonies than there should have been because congress didn't want to hear from them. Don't sanewash known dbags who have faced less repercussions than his victims did.
He's a scumbag politician, and many of his policies played a role in getting us where we are... But the man was far from the worst president.
I don't think better than the worst presidents is a good metric to judge whether we care about a famous death.
I said "far from". Meaning he's probably not even in the bottom 50%.
There are very few presidents I'd mourn the passing of, certainly not 50%.
May he get everything he deserves.
