I was wrong about how much getting dressed up actually took off. It's something Esquire champions and predicts but, if I'm being honest, I wasn't sure it could overcome the tyranny of athleisure. But I do hope it happens. And yet-and yet!-you look around and see guys wearing versions of suits, actual trousers, hard shoes, and, yes, even the tie. A major menswear designer just told me they've sold more suits this year than in the last decade; a menswear exec at a major department store said suits outsell sneakers. If you aren't already, it's time to start dressing up again!
