Funerals are for the family. Not the dead person. You won’t care because you’re dead, I’m sure his close friends and relatives cared quite a bit.
As he is an embarrasment all the time, he was just in character to the popes funeral. Just keep in mind that he uses makeup like a mad clown, so dressing up like one is just fitting.

When I die I won't give a single fuck what people who go to my funeral wear.
I'm not defending the guy. I'm just accusing the church of being the other side. Assholes on both sides. I hope my exercised freedom of speech doesn't ruffle feathers. I don't have a suit myself.
I remember when John Paul died and we got Ratzinger Z who was promptly removed for sexual stuff. So I might live to see 4 popes! What a time to be alive! 4 popes. Most people I know are also 3 popes old and pushing for 4.
Funerals are not for the dead, they're for the living experiencing grief in the wake of a loss.
Yeah, so I sure as fuck don't want people telling anyone nice enough to come to my funeral that they wore the wrong color suit. Make fun of Trump and the fascists whose voters hopefully will be as annoyed at this. But don't trouble the rest of us about it.
