Twelve out of beans with rice.

[–] NaibofTabr@infosec.pub 41 points 7 hours ago (3 children)

So, wait... cold beans in the tank, then game session for awhile, then take a break and have a properly cooked snack?

[–] bandwidthcrisis@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

I've seen videos of how to fry an egg on a CPU. Meeting you can do bacon on a GPU?

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 5 points 4 hours ago

On the Internet, where no one can hear you fart...

Probably able to carry away more heat than water. I want to say the Soviets tried this with a submarine but the Royal navy kept stealing the sub for breakfast.

[–] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 5 points 6 hours ago

Maple or tomatoe sauce?

One might offer better cooling than the other

[–] Evil_Shrubbery@lemm.ee 3 points 5 hours ago

Edvard Beans.

[–] Carvex@lemmy.world 8 points 7 hours ago

[–] PlasticExistence@lemmy.world 8 points 7 hours ago

Pretty good, but needs more bean varieties

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 7 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Using an nvidia card, not optimal for Linux, Lemmy disapproves!

[–] ArchAengelus@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 6 hours ago (2 children)

Aside from the fact that the best drivers are closed source, NVIDIA is killing it on Linux these days.

Source: me a professional Linux user and hobbyist Linux gamer.

[–] FozzyOsbourne@lemm.ee 1 points 1 hour ago

I've not tried myself but whenever I see anyone complaining about issues here the responses are generally "ah that's what you get with nvidia"

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub -1 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (1 children)

If distros would ship pre-compiled, signed kernel modules that work with secure boot with no extra configuration, that would be just perfect.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 6 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

No, that should absolutely be discouraged. Nvidia should quit trying to fuck with users' rights and release proper Free Software drivers.

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 1 points 5 hours ago

It sounds to me like a loose-loose situation. It does have the effect of applying pressure on Nvidia, but it also makes Linux desktop more complicated than it needs to be which has a real cost for users.

It’s a shame.
