Who in their right mind takes their 11 year old child to an R-rated movie?!

[–] magnetosphere@fedia.io 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Right? At that age, they’re old enough to understand what they’re seeing, but not old enough to dismiss it as “just a movie”.

[–] kratoz29@lemm.ee 6 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Hmm... I am pretty sure at 11 years old I watched several R rated films, the ones that come to my mind are Saw, Scream, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club etc.

I don't think I have ever been scared about a movie or not being able to distinguish between real life and a film.

[–] magnetosphere@fedia.io 4 points 1 month ago

Oh, I’m not talking about confusing real life and film. I just mean that it’s (relatively) easier for adults to get horrible, unpleasant images out of their heads. Kids can’t control their thoughts as well.

You didn't see those in a theater... Which was the question.

Are you actually advocating censorship? You're obviously not in your right mind.

[–] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

Well, I'd be watching my back for the rest of my life if I was one of those people.

screw their crypto bro dictatorship

I wasn't aware of any crypto bro dictatorship in Argentina, did you possibly have it confused with El Salvador?

[–] SpicyColdFartChamber@lemm.ee 4 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I think he's talking about how milei promoted a crypto coin that was ruggpulled immediately afterwards. Though he's not a dictator.

Everyone's a crypto bro now 😎 whether they like it or not.
