He hasn't fought with anyone you guys, he's been high as fuck and hit his face on a table or something.

[–] Uranus_Hz@lemm.ee 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Got slapped in a throuples spat.

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Doubt it. Pussies like him avoid physical conflict at all costs, even though they would never admit it.

I'm like 99% sure he's just taken a line too strong of ketamine and literally zoned out and hit his face on the table. He's right handed right? So he'd take his right hand to his nose and snort with his left nostril, then have that hit a bit too hard and fall on the right side of his face.

I LOVE that he thinks his leaving government to refocus on Tesla will solve the sales issue Tesla has been experiencing.

He just does not get it.

[–] btaf45@lemmy.world 25 points 3 days ago

That picture doesn't look like the picture of a guy who will finally deliver self driving cars after promising they were less than one year away for the last 20 years.

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (3 children)

The sad thing is if he steps away from politics, I think the outrage will subside in a couple of months. The public doesn't have that strong a memory in the best of times, with the pace of news nowadays, very few people will remember how much of problem he was being.

So yes, just locking him out of the spotlight would be enough. His leadership is not great, but distracting him could really save Tesla's image.

[–] YiddishMcSquidish 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I am hopeful that the pain continues for him. Tesla was the only option for a few years for an EV with >100mile range and a nation wide system for charging. Those things are not true anymore. I mean I got chargers near my visitor center tourist area with a population of ~40k ffs. He had a monopoly and a comically inflated stock valuation. The stock is currently seeing a proper rebalance now that there is competition. Dude had a defacto monopoly, and pissed it away to do two Nazi salutes. He likely will never be actually broke, and Tesla isn't going away completely anytime soon. But any economic pain he endures is a slight glimmer of hope.

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I agree that Tesla does and should be considered to have deeper problems, as more new players crowd out Tesla as well as "legacy" automakers in many ways also competing.

I feel like TSLA is still way out of wack. You put GM, Ford, Toyota, and Honda together and still you are less than half the market cap of Tesla. This is utterly absurd, even the "not up to snuff today, but they'll outgrow everyone" argument I don't see happening.

But as to his adventures in "Dark MAGA", he gets some people distracting him with shiny toys and telling him how smart he is and the world will largely forget that particular "contribution" in fairly short order. So long as it's not letting him declare that all Tesla products henceforth will adopt the cybertruck design language and quality, Tesla can benefit from him just stepping the hell out of the spotlight again.

[–] YiddishMcSquidish 1 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

I agree with you that if you put ford, gm & stellantis in the same room as any japanese car manufacturer will out compete them.

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Well, at least Nissan and Mitsubishi aren't doing exactly great.

I find Stellantis utterly confounding how they still exist as they are. So much mismanagement and yet somehow still alive.

[–] YiddishMcSquidish 1 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

Brand recognition is a big thing unfortunately. And Jeep & ram used to carry weight.

Edit to add: Mitsubishi is doing fine with electronic sales.

[–] driving_crooner@lemmy.eco.br 3 points 2 days ago

The problems with tesla are not really about his involvement with the government, but that he's being outcompeted by BYD and other Chinese EV manufacturers.

[–] limelight79@lemm.ee 3 points 2 days ago

Unfortunately, you're probably right.

Wasn't Tesla the company that had a person (or group of people) dedicated to distracting him, thereby letting the rest of the company actually do work?

[–] Jimmycakes@lemmy.world 16 points 3 days ago

The drugs ate his already small brain

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 58 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

what do you call a Nazi with a black eye?

a good start

[–] andybytes@programming.dev 27 points 3 days ago

Hitler enjoyed when his inner circle fought with each other. Elon Musk is going out on good terms. The rich have solidarity in their class. Instead of focusing on Elon Musk, maybe you should focus on the dystopic security state that is being built by Palantir. Peter thiel is the anti social Angry gay man who runs that shit.

[–] vegeta@lemmy.world 183 points 4 days ago (1 children)

The ketamine side effects probably had him fall and/or bump into something.

[–] neukenindekeuken@sh.itjust.works 73 points 4 days ago (3 children)

Yeah, honestly, as much as I want there to be some drama here, he probably did this to himself by accident. The kid punching him story is stupid, fake, gay, dumb, etc. Nobody really believes that shit.

If someone did actually punch him, he would have lost his shit, there would be a much larger fallout.

He's just a drug addict (not a bad thing, lots of beautiful people are, let's not shame), who is abusing others around him as a result of his drug abuse. He probably just hit his head on something while fucked on Special K/E/Adderall/etc.

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 50 points 4 days ago (6 children)

I think most addicts would disagree with you that being an addict isn't a bad thing.

[–] neukenindekeuken@sh.itjust.works 57 points 4 days ago (15 children)

Hating addicts for being addicts, is a bad thing. They're still people, with full lives, and can be wonderful humans. They may also need help, or they may choose not to get help. The point being, we shouldn't judge people based on whether or not they're an addict.

[–] Rekorse@sh.itjust.works 7 points 3 days ago

Noone said they were hating him for his drug use. Being a drug addict is a bad thing by definition. If it wasnt a negative for the person we wouldnt call it addiction.

Unfortunately drug addicts are "judged" because they are simply riskier to associate with than a sober person. I'm not sure how many sober people are actually left though, and most people won't disclose their drug addictions.

His mind is on the verge of becoming complete mush due to drug abuse isn't it?

He looks and sounds like a druggie that will soon become homeless due to complete disassociation with reality, how can this even happen with personal doctors and clinics, and diets, and cosmetologists and whatever else?

[–] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 75 points 4 days ago (3 children)

Micheal Jackson had all those things and still OD’d on tranquilizers.

Drugs can be a helluva drug. Also billionaires don’t think that anyone else has the right to tell them “no”.

Also, Musk is notoriously overconfident that he can learn anything better than experts. No doubt in my mind he's decided how much ketamine and other drugs he "needs," and has pliant doctors to agree.

[–] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Also billionaires don’t think that anyone else has the right to tell them “no”.

Also, billionaires have enough money to find a doctor who will tell them, "yes."

And, billions of dollars to have lackeys find you drugs. And private fucking jets to fly to countries with drugs, and bring you back drugs. And a bestie you bought a Presidency for, to keep the DEA from seeing your plane.

Motive, means, and opportunity.

The video of him here is pretty suspect too. Sure looks like he's rolling on some shit.

[–] apfelwoiSchoppen@lemmy.world 19 points 4 days ago

With his head normally so far up his own ass, this is more probable than a physical scuffle.

Who cares?! He is a fascist scum!

He puts the cunt in contusion. Works better out loud rather than written though.

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 23 points 3 days ago

Kid got tired of being used as a human shield in public.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 20 points 3 days ago

Probably fell and cracked his head while down the k-hole.

Is that roughly the size of one of Brigitte's bony fingers?

Give him more

"can you imagine, calling him an employee?"

Hey get this, if you're a worker in any industry Trump doesn't respect you.

Never seen a more beautiful shiner.

[–] wwb4itcgas@lemm.ee 7 points 3 days ago

It suits him, although two would be even better. Also, I'd love to see him picking up his former teeth.
