i-cant

everyone will love the guy that blew like a quarter of a billion dollars to lose to Lindsay Graham by double digits

this is a winning strategy by a smart and serious political party

[–] propter_hog@hexbear.net 50 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The key was they got a quarter of a billion dollars. They don't care to win, they just care to keep getting that coin.

Things may have been somewhat different, had the loyalty that we saw Republicans have for Donald Trump, when Trump got convicted 34 times, and you didn’t hear a peep from the Republican Party … I would love to see a little more of that from Democrats.

"Sit down and shut up and vote for the person we told you to"

Jesus fucking Christ no wonder the Democrats lost.

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 28 points 3 days ago

"MAGA is a cult, how can we get some of that?"

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 24 points 3 days ago (1 children)

They would like to see democrats not speak up when their members break the fucking law or act like monsters?! I fucking hate these people.

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 10 points 2 days ago

there are a ton of people in politics who would be republicans if the republican party would have them or if the party was viable at a state level.

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 40 points 3 days ago (3 children)

They are absolutely refusing to return to any semblance of left.

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 7 points 2 days ago (2 children)

charitably, they might mean New Deal rather than neoliberal.

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 2 points 2 days ago

Hence "semblance."

[–] combat_brandonism@hexbear.net 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I guess a charitable view of the new deal and Keynesianism is that it's a semblance of left

I have the harsher view that it was a further entrenchment of reaction to reconstruction but shrug-outta-hecks

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 3 points 2 days ago

was certainly to the left of reagan. that's the bar for the last 50 years of american national politics. these fuckers have been making Nixon look good by comparison.

They're dabbing on us folks!

matt-jokerfied

[–] MayoPete@hexbear.net 9 points 3 days ago

We will dab on the corpse of this party soon enough

[–] SevenSkalls@hexbear.net 11 points 3 days ago

They are going to pull out any and all stops to prevent that from happening.

On the positive side, now there's a chance I get to see Cuomo lose again, which will be nice.

"""Historian""": And that's why the pyramids were actually built by dinosaurs

This guy: Damn, that's crazy. Hey, have you ever tried to run a small business in a disadvantaged area for 5 years?

[–] roux@hexbear.net 12 points 2 days ago

The Dems trying to stop the party from imploding:

[–] happybadger@hexbear.net 31 points 3 days ago

The first episodes of “At Our Table” put Harrison next to 2024 vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, South Carolina kingmaker (and Harrison mentor) Rep. James Clyburn — and Hunter Biden, the prodigal former First Son who has not spoken out since his father ended his last presidential bid.

Very cool. I can't wait to hear from a loser who sent the national guard in to quash BLM, a corrupt investment banker who worked for Oprah, the ghoul who gave us Biden, and Biden's corrupt failson who has never done anything with his life except use his father's corpse as a meat puppet. This will inspire the youth and bring young men to the side of the democrats.

[–] elpaso@hexbear.net 21 points 3 days ago

Oh hell the fuck no.

Dude was one of Joe Biden's most toxic supporters. Especially after that debate.

[–] SexUnderSocialism@hexbear.net 26 points 3 days ago (1 children)

My contempt for these people is immeasurable.

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 10 points 3 days ago

It would certainly be more accurate to say that these people are the measure of my contempt

[–] segfault11@hexbear.net 29 points 3 days ago

the left already has an interim Joe Rogan: guaido

[–] Bronstein_Tardigrade@lemmygrad.ml 23 points 3 days ago (1 children)

James Clyburn's little lapdog. His entire career is based on sucking off Big Jim.

If you think about it, he truly is the voice of the Democratic Party.

[–] TrashGoblin@hexbear.net 18 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He really is. Ran the most expensive Senate campaign ever (at the time), got absolutely bodied by an elderly neocon who is unpopular even among his base. But the consultants and advertisers made money, and that's what really matters, isn't it?

[–] CTHlurker@hexbear.net 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

IIRC he lost to Lindsay Graham (can't be arsed spelling his name) by something like 8 pcts. despite the entire republican party hating him, and the entire democratic party giving Harrison something like 90 million dollars to spend on a state with less than 3 million voters.

[–] TrashGoblin@hexbear.net 7 points 2 days ago

10 points, in fact.

[–] Evilphd666@hexbear.net 17 points 3 days ago

Democrats create their own AI echo chamber called Drock

Analyze Joe Rogan for when he pulls up facts on interviews. And cross refrence this lost of approved Democrats.

Hey Jamie. Hey Jamie. Hey Jamie. Hey Jamie.

Drock Rogan of the Left: smuglord Jamie Harrison

Too busy running South Bend, IN to do a podcast

[–] LangleyDominos@hexbear.net 19 points 3 days ago (1 children)

This has been the Democrat project since Nov. Just stay out of Trump's way and find a liberal Jogan.

[–] ThermonuclearEgg@hexbear.net 3 points 2 days ago

liberal Jogan

That's it! The Democrats already have a Joe! It's time for Joe Biden to save the day! biden-ok-smart-guy

[–] NuraShiny@hexbear.net 12 points 3 days ago
