[–] Delphia@lemmy.world 62 points 2 years ago (1 children)

All this is funny and all but I want to see what happens when none of their shit works and they try going full sovcit in county.

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 44 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I invite you to YouTube search them and your wish will be granted. The videos are WILD.

I think you misunderstand, I dont think theres a lot of video footage from county JAIL. Like once all the wheels fall off this bitch and they are telling a corrections officer about how what they are doing is illegal and they are going to put a lein on the jail.

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 19 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Bold of that guy to point out a typo given SovCit's track record... Something tells me that's just him not knowing how to spell though lol

[–] Davel23@kbin.social 24 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Not to mention "plane" paper.

[–] betterdeadthanreddit@lemmy.world 12 points 2 years ago

That's because it's flat.

[–] TheFriar@lemm.ee 11 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yeah I was trying to see what word was misspelled but couldn’t. I also assumed the sovcit just couldn’t spell lol

[–] Lojcs@lemm.ee 6 points 2 years ago

You can read that?

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 23 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Wtf do they mean by "this is an offer"? I keep seeing their crap about not having a contract or engaging in commerce or some shit. Do they think that if they can just be immune from all laws by saying "I don't accept your offer"?

[–] hglman@lemmy.world 28 points 2 years ago

Yes, that is exactly it. They are taking individualism to the maximum and saying they can choose to be outside the law bc they have personal freedom.

Does being a sovereign citizen mean you don’t get to use grammar?

[–] grue@lemmy.world 41 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

If they weren't functionally-illiterate morons, they wouldn't be sovereign citizens.

It's not legally binding unless written on the back of the US Constitution, in gold sharpie, at a 43 degree angle.

Oh I’m sure this played out well for him!

Narrator: "it did not"

[–] KaptenOreda@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What happens if one of these gets robbed or burglered? I guess they dont go to the cops.

[–] Tar_alcaran@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 years ago

Well, they didn't create joinder with the criminal, who (presumably) contracts with the state.

[–] Tar_alcaran@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I understand most of this single sentence, but what it "crossing the bench"? Does this moron mean he refused to sit his ass down?

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yeah they seriously seem to think that if they don't engage in the proceedings it's somehow going to help them.

There are people in psychiatric hospitals with more going on behind the eyes and these idiots.

[–] Godnroc@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Have they tried confessing with their fingers crossed? Everyone knows it doesn't count if your fingers are crossed.

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

I believe so!
