Discord server is the greatest misnomer ever and proves that the way most people use computers is purely vibes based and social pressure.
None of discord is end-to-end encrypted and there is only one discord server and everyone is on it writing plaintext messages for any fed to read, this includes "direct messages"

seems like matrix would be a better choice for the paranoid (e2ee means the server host is less likely to be bothered about the content?) but that's wild I had no idea that existed and I think I've looked before...
with the servers gone, it’s hard to prove either way.
Not to give Discord too much credit, but depending on what was happening in those servers, it might be for the best that they're shut down, tbh. I've been on servers that use proper opsec when sharing links to files, and I've (briefly) been on servers that don't.
From what I've heard none of these Yuzu continuations amount to anything and they're all run by dumb kids with zero emulator experience between them who don't know what they're doing, which you can tell from the way they set up Discord servers and thumbed their noses at Nintendo. What serious Western-based developer would want to touch Yuzu code now
