I can't stand when people bathe themselves in cologne/perfume. You don't need that much! I shouldn't be able to smell you from another room, and the smell shouldn't linger in rooms you haven't even been in!

I remember when my uni classes had me riding the buss at the same time as all the kids going to their upper secondary school next to the university. A buss half full of 17 year old gals each wearing way to much sickly sweet fruity perfume, and half full of 17 year old guys drenched in body spray... I would get so nauseous.

kombucha-disgust That sounds awful

oh yeah that's rough, a few guys i've walked past before you can smell like 5 foot away. It's rough when you get blasted downwind too or get a taxi and it's super pungent. yea

Ugh yeah. That's the worst. It gives me a headache every time

I have heightened sense of smell, sound and taste wiith my special bramd of autism so stuff can be really bad like that..

My partner is like that, especially with scents, so we use only scent-free products for everything and try to keep perfume exposure to a minimum. It's had the side effect of making me sensitive to smell too

I like scents but strong smells can be distracting like even hints of something in another room or across our landing in another room I can pick up

I have a really sensitive sense of smell that makes me get overwhelmed and overstimulated really easy, I hate when people do this shit. like I can get overstimulated going down the spices isle in a shop, let alone extremely overpowering artificial scents

I have to complain to my cousin any time we go to somewhere special that he needs to stop suffocating everyone in the car. I think he's gotten better about it.

I generally don't have a good sense of smell (like, I cannot smell BO at all), but chemical smells like that are something I'm sensitive to.

How much is considered enough volume or spraywise?

[–] nemmybun@hexbear.net 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I don't wear it anymore but when I did, I use one spritz on each wrist and touch my wrists to other pulse points (just behind ears and neck for me). Body heat will enhance the potency of the fragrance so a little bit goes a long way when done like this

Aight this is pretty close to what I do, ty ✨

If someone is hugging you, they can smell it, and enough to cover up BO. Varies due to cleanliness, season, and sweatiness of individuals
