Need to find some canned vegan food or something, I do miss the convenience of like sardines or tuna (minus all the Mercury) tins around I can dump into some rice with veggies. Closest quick thing I found once was like these packets of miso soup you just added into hot water
Canned veggies and canned mushrooms are a thing, I can't speak to their taste though. Just straight up fresh veg is great on its own or with rice - like not even cooked, just raw veggies. Saurkraut is yummy. Any pickled veg or pepper is easy to slap on to something. Dried seaweed for umami fishy flavour. Nooch/nutritional yeast is easy to sprinkle on anything.
Frozen veggies and frozen fruits are good, but it can take work to heat em up. Although frozen fruit can be good purely on its own.
Good call on these, I do still have some pickled peppers I need to get through and I do have a lot of nori packets though mostly been using them in soup. I've always seen canned mushrooms but yet to try them might be able to work with them, some of these ideas I been thinking of would be stuff I could leave in my car with like some saltines in case I can't do lunch. Now that I'm thinking of it seeds and nuts could work too
These packets had dried tofu in them and thinking about it were probably my first experience ever with tofu
Oh! I like to rinse canned beans, airfry them with a bit of oil, and then mix them with sauce on a tortilla. Crunchy bean roll ๐
I'll need to try this some time, I've done it to chickpeas before for like a salad topping and it was real good
i like to have canned stuffed grape leaves sometimes
I got a grape vine in my back yard, might be worth seeing if I can eat them
Have you tried canned fruit? Like pineapple or peach is delicious in a stir fry
I've had not but those do sound good
