How does that work? The government can just ban sports orgs altogether?

I see! So yes, it's all about access to the Olympics. Much more important than "integrity of sport" or "inclusivity". This is why I support the total annihilation of professional sport.
Idk if this is shitty of me but I always think about how people would react if it was a race ban instead. Both the people who would still say "well it's more important the majority get to play then no one" and the people who would suddenly change their mind. Would people grimace and say, well, I guess it was that or the sport not existing?
People, cis and trans, are far too accepting of our discrimination.
I actually think it's imperative to make such comparisons
