Resigned to the fact that I'll have to constantly explain to cis people the rest of my life that I wasn't "born in the wrong body", I was assigned the wrong gender at birth.Really glad most of the community has moved on from this kind of thinking

Can someone explain to me? Because that's kinda how it feels to me and I don't know why that is.
I read it as nature vs nurture, wherein the nurture/external was wrongly assigned or applied. "Wrong body" presupposes a fault within the self or the mind, rather than with the social forces at play.
Our bodies are beautiful, the expectations placed upon them less so
