A year ago I choose they/them pronouns with much hemming and hawing about if it was okay because I was totally cis. Eventually I settled on yes, but with a note in my bio that I was totally cishet. And uh, now here we are, in the biggest trans thread on lemmy.
What you have to remember most cis people don't mull over their pronouns I should also say the circle is complete
But who wouldn't want to be refereed to as they/them? On a different note, that's something reserved for cool people who aren't me.

I chose they/them on my old account years ago for "opsec reasons". Or at least that's what I told myself at the time. I still felt like I wasn't allowed to use them or something. Like I was indulging in some cardinal sin. "I'm totally cis, I'm not allowed to use those." And yet, 2 years later I'm on hrt and toiling away in the posting mines.
