You can't have slave labor without healthy slaves.

[–] Lemmygradwontallowme@hexbear.net 14 points 3 months ago

Huh, I thought that's what the reserve army of labor is for...

I don't know if it's actually a good thing to lose 30 lbs that fast

[–] booty@hexbear.net 28 points 3 months ago (1 children)

depends how much you weigh and whether you're getting your vitamins, really. the only thing that would concern me is that that means they were eating so little that they probably weren't getting too many vitamins, but on the other hand 60 days is hardly long enough to even develop vitamin deficiencies. burning fat isn't on its own particularly good or bad for you, no matter how fast or slow it happens

yeah I'm sure they were getting all their vitamins and minerals in prison

It's good for your health as long as you ignore the fact the gulag system had a lower death rate from 1953 onwards than current 2020s US prisons have.

In Amerikkka they force you to go to prison in order to lose weight yeonmi-park

yeonmi-park "In evil bad country the prisons starve their inmates and the inmates are so brainwashed that they thank the prisons for it"

Wanna exercise? Fuck you. You'll be too tired from work and your work schedule won't allow you to keep a live routine with enough free time to maintain an exercise schedule.

Wanna eat food that doesn't kill you? Fuck you. You won't have time in your day or money in your wallet to buy proper food let alone the time to cook meals.

60 days is not prison. That's jail.

[–] hello_hello@hexbear.net 2 points 3 months ago

60 days is like a minute in convict time. You need over 18 months to actually be in prison.

Sounds like someone didn't get stuffed in a local or state prison

[–] D61@hexbear.net 2 points 3 months ago

How did you go to prison for 60 days and come out not worried about paying bills because you were fired from your job?
