Mario is a Unitarian
My guess is that Mario's Jewish so he just believes in "God", but still respects Christianity and Islam as they both involve "God" too. As for Buddhism, there's no rule against visiting other faiths holy sites out of curiosity.

This picture made me realise Mario franchise doesn't really have any black people
probably due to:
- it's age
- the fact that they're all italian
- it doesn't have a lot of humans in generall
