edit: removing vent. i don't think my friends are hexbears but even if they're not, i should focus on finding ways to constructively discuss my concerns about their social media usage with them personally.
maybe i'll form a more coherent framework for my ideas and try discuss them in a way that is less pointed at specific, well-intentioned individuals.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD post
worth its own post imo.
lol you caught me as i was deleting it. i still believe in what i wrote, but you can read my explanation if you check the edit. i would be a hypocrite if i risked my IRL relationships to gossip with strangers.

Just us two left again. They’re still busy with their mentally draining project, and I’m doing busywork, and doing my best to occasionally help them back on track when they start veering off. They’re talking and humming to themselves, and I’m dying of cuteness overdose. We accompany each other a bit home again, and discuss their favorite book I borrowed. I say goodbye and stroke their shoulder, and they stroke my arm in return. After walking a few meters they say/shout another goodbye phrase slightly too loud.

Sick of pedmas/bedmas posts on social media. We need a cultural revolution where all arithmetic is done in Polish or reverse Polish notation.

I got a random classical album for $3 at a thrift store on Wednesday, and my first thought was "holy shit this record is in bad shape" ... but uh, when I looked it up on discogs, https://www.discogs.com/release/3252952-Rachmaninoff-Philippe-Entremont-Leonard-Bernstein-New-York-Philharmonic-Concerto-No-2-Three-Preludes it was actually from 1960 ... so somehow I have a 64 year old record, and I'm still being emotionally moved by it... I love physical music
