Whoever wins, I hope the other side doesn't recognise the result.

[–] ahriboy@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 1 hour ago

I'm waiting for Second Thought to cover the aftermath.

[–] Xiisadaddy@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

I am praying for a tie. Pls gods of all that is funny let it be a tie. Its the only way both of them can lose. Its the ideal outcome because libs and chuds will both be mad! pls pls be a tie

[–] ComradePupIvy@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 3 hours ago (2 children)

A tie would likely result in a trump walz ticket

[–] CrimeDad@lemmy.crimedad.work 2 points 1 hour ago

It's the only outcome that gives me a smile.

[–] Xiisadaddy@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

We were just talking about this in my other thread hehe 😝

[–] ComradePupIvy@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I am just not sure this is a "they both loose" situation or atleast they both loose equally

[–] Xiisadaddy@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Well i was just thinking about it from like the vibes. Like both bases of support would be freaking out. America would probably have massive civil unrest or something before congress even got to weigh in.

[–] ComradePupIvy@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Oh that has a good chance of happening reguardless of who wins ... or if congress decides... or if congress ties ...

[–] Xiisadaddy@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Well dont forget if it goes to shit you me and the other people from that one thread are sailing our way to china like its 1492 lmao

[–] DamarcusArt@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Remember that the currents north of Hawaii flow eastward, so you'll probably want to sail south-southwest to avoid getting blown back to yankeeland.

[–] Xiisadaddy@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 1 hour ago

great tip thank you i will remember this for later

[–] ComradePupIvy@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

[–] CriticalResist8@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 3 hours ago

of course, how could I forget 🙃

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 24 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago) (1 children)

if trump wins do libs immediately pretend to be pro-palestine?

[–] trashxeos@lemmygrad.ml 24 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago) (2 children)

No, they're going to double down on pro Israel talking points and blame the Tankies and our *checks notes* belief that humans shouldn't be genocided, for not voting for genocide enough.

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago) (1 children)

so they gonna side with trump? maybe the topic will get dropped by all media

[–] trashxeos@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 6 hours ago

It really depends. If the actual left can keep the pressure on and keep Palestinian genocide loud enough that the media HAS to cover it, they'll handwringingly side with Trump, otherwise they'll try to ignore it as much as possible and use the same tactics they use when covering police murdering minorities when they absolutely MUST cover it.

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 12 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

It'll be a tough decision. Do they immediatly start opposing it and have to awkwardly state at their shoes when people ask why they dont have a problem doing it while Biden is still president or do they wait until January and have the same awkward reaction when people ask why this wasn't a problem 25 hours ago but it is now.

[–] trashxeos@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (1 children)

They're going to immediately pretend that they have always felt this way. Don't you know that we've always been at war with Eurasia?

Edit: I lost the plot in the response, I still agree with my original comment but I'm leaving this one for posterity lol. My original point is that the liberals will keep spouting pro Israeli propaganda and blame pro Palestinian activists for the loss, completely ignoring that the Dems continue to move right over and over leaving the progressive portion of their base behind in pursuit of stealing Republican votes.

[–] muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Yep, Trump will say that he supports Israel, and liberals will act like they've supported palestine this whole time, relying on some vague meaningless statements by Harris.

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 3 hours ago

yup thats what i think its going to happen

[–] Yeat@hexbear.net 21 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Determining which candidates to vote for in my state/county/city’s local elections by going to each candidates twitter and searching “Israel”

[–] Yeat@hexbear.net 8 points 8 hours ago

Cannot find anything regarding this for the Dem senator and governor running in my deep red state so I’m gonna have to vote for them regardless just based on abortion :( not that they’ll win anyways.

Writing in PSL for President at least o7

[–] DankZedong@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago) (1 children)

Honestly think Trump will win

[–] muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 3 hours ago

Looks that way, according to the current betting odds: https://www.realclearpolling.com/betting-odds/2024/president

It's gonna be super annoying to have to hear them whining for a month at leastiabout how the russians/greens/tankies caused this.

[–] bobs_guns@lemmygrad.ml 29 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Looking forward to getting over all this crap so people can finally start campaigning for the midterms immediately

[–] muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml 24 points 10 hours ago (3 children)

Unfortunately since trump is probably gonna win, we're gonna have at least a month of liberal meltdowns pointing the fingers at russia, the green party, muslims, etc.

[–] chesmotorcycle@lemmygrad.ml 15 points 10 hours ago

After which time, here's hoping they don't dare to call themselves The Resistance again.

[–] ComradePupIvy@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 10 hours ago

It cannot possibly be Harris doing everything in her power to throw this election, with the sole exception MAYBE of picking Walz as VP over Shapiro...

[–] bobs_guns@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 10 hours ago

Time will tell.

[–] muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml 20 points 10 hours ago (4 children)

Who do yall think is gonna win, Biden or Jeb?

[–] Xiisadaddy@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 3 hours ago

[–] o_d@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

A real winner doesn't even need to run in order to win the race.

[–] muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 3 hours ago

Michael scott close-up: I didn't say I was gonna win the election, I declared it.

[–] muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

[–] ComradePupIvy@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

I do not much care about election day, what I am interested in/worried about is fallout from the day after

[–] rainpizza@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago)

I just wish Trump(or whoever gets elected) goes insane and sanctions every country on earth. That way we can finally stop seeing the USD being used to fund fascists and rightoids in Latin America.
