Anarchism is a social movement that seeks liberation from oppressive systems of control including but not limited to the state, capitalism, racism, sexism, speciesism, and religion. Anarchists advocate a self-managed, classless, stateless society without borders, bosses, or rulers where everyone takes collective responsibility for the health and prosperity of themselves and the environment.

Prince Pyotr Alexeyevich Kropotkin was born in 1842 and breathed his last in 1921. Kropotkin was a Russian noble. He was educated for army and at the age of twenty he became a military officer in Siberia.

Kropotkin’s great interest in science developed from his military training which he received to get a job. This moulded his life in future. He had a scientific mind and devoted his time and energy to the study of books on science.

As a military officer in Siberia Kropotkin got ample opportunity for geographical survey and expedition. Thus his shift from military service to geographical survey and expeditions enriched the subject profoundly. He contributed many articles to different journals.

Peter Kropotkin was a man of different mentality and attitude. His stay in military service could not satisfy his academic and intellectual requirements and desires and after serving several years he relinquished the job, and entered the University of St. Petersburg in 1867. His vast knowledge in geography brought for him the post of secretary of Geographical Society.

Even this vital administrative post could not detain him for long time. He moved to radical political movements. In 1872, Peter Kropotkin joined the International Workingmen’s Association. Later on he was deeply involved in subversive and anarchical activities. This led him to imprisonment in 1874.

He escaped from prison in 1876 and went to England. The England of the second half of eighteenth century was the centre of revolutionary activities, although she never experienced any revolution.

He also travelled to Switzerland and Paris. While in Paris he was again arrested by the French government in 1883. Released from prison in 1886 he went to England and settled there. While in exile, Kropotkin gave lectures and published widely on anarchism and geography. He returned to Russia after the Russian Revolution in 1917 but was disappointed by the Bolshevik state. The rest of his life was spent without political activity.

Peter Kropotkin was an evolutionist anarchist. But his evolutionism was more scientific than that of his predecessors. He wrote several books on anarchism such as ‘The Place of Anarchy in Socialist Evolution (1886), The Conquest of Bread (1888), Its Philosophy and Ideal (1896)’, ‘The State – Its Part in History (1898)’ and ‘Modern Science and Anarchism (1903)’. His deep interest in science, particularly biology and anthropology, opened before him new and enchanting vistas of knowledge and all these inspired him to study biological science with added interest.

During the Korean War, 82 percent of the massacres were committed by the South Korean forces, 15 percent by the North. 400,000 South Koreans died in the war, an estimated half of them were civilians killed by South Korean forces.

I feel like I'm falling apart (in a physical way, not mentally). All my chronic issues decided to flare up together. I am no wippersnapper, sigh.

The sales tax “holiday” starts like next week and apparently the CRA hasn’t clarified exactly which items are covered michael-laugh. How the fuck did Trudeau not get this down in writing. Incredible stuff.

Schools for Chiapas recently expanded their online store and there are tons of new handmade items

Consider supporting the Zapatista movement this holiday season. Also some donations on the site are able to be written off on your taxes!

someone was all "he was 24 when he said that shit that's far from a child" and like, idk, all I gotta say is anyone saying that probably has very different opinions about like a 60 year old dating a 24 year old, almost like experience matters, and while yes, 24 is an adult, like, people change, and 2 years at that point is like almost another 10% of that person's entire lifespan thus far (it's like 8 something, I said almost, don't @ me nerds). obviously it varies on when people start to go out of their way develop political awareness of their own. Idk, what age do y'all think people tend to get into whatever ideological bullshit on their own versus whatever they've simply been "educated" on by their parents/peers/school? let's say like, 16, that seems like a manifesto reading age. so that's 8 years from there of being a semi functional person developing a political awareness

2 years is like another 25% of that time, idk seems kind of significant from the perspective of being a large enough time to have a further influence on a person's actual ideological leanings

this post isn't just about luigi this post is about how I'm 33 and anyone younger than me is a child, actually

Don't believe The Feds!

The real Luigi would have changed out of their black suit and tie and black gloves, knocked out the hotel's doorman, and assumed their identity in order to more closely stalk Brian Thompson. While Mr. Thompson was moving to his room, Luigi would then enter the kitchen, throw a coin into a corner to distract the armed guards that are always there in hotel kitchens, then garrote and replace one of the porters in order to deliver a poisoned serving of foie gras to Mr. Thompson's suite. Once Brian's death is confirmed, they would proceed to knock out a janitor, steal their clothing, and sneak out in such a stealthy way that even Nakoichi would believe Luigi was The Adjuster.

Five star rating from the agency.

I like how the new Indiana Jones game portrays the fascist antagonists. They can't really have them be as evil as in real life without ruining the light tone of the game, so there is a risk of them coming off as cool or likable villains. The game avoids this by making them constantly do a bickering comedy routine that makes them look like unpleasant dorks.

So let me get this straight

request comes in from other department

instead of other department simply emailing me to make the quick fix, department tells my manager

my manager tells me, justifying him getting paid twice as much as me

I complete the task, manager gets the credit

I get to do this every week. Amazing system and totally not a pyramid scheme

posting again word for word

i bought a new processor, a ryzen 5200x3d, it was cheapish like 200 bux and a big upgrade. it arrived sometime today and my partner and i settled in to install it.

well folks let me tell u that shit took like 5 hours and really sucked and i found out my AIO cooler aint shit anymore. the new processor was IDLING at 90+ degrees. wew lad. i swapped back to my old one a bunch of times testing shit and THAT ONE TOO is idling hot as shit now. (83 degrees as of writing this only firefox open). i guess my ancient corsair h60 has had it.

so i bought a thermalright royal knight 120 se (i know others are better or cooler or whatever idc all of them are completely sold out) for like 40 bux or so and i opted for free prime so it could get here soon TM (like thursday if that)

folks i just wanted my plex server to run better so i could game while i watch shit with my partner, i don't deserve this

So is posting a selfcrit, like, a mandatory thing now for when people get tempbanned? Are we gonna see a wave of "I'm sorry" posts? I feel like I missed a lot in the wake of this Luigi thing.

Canadian CHUD politics are so funny because it’s like they decided to means-test their reactionary views. A recent headline Doug Ford issue was banning international students from Ontario medical schools, a program so targeted that it affects like 10 people (medical schools already had very tight caps for international students, and are otherwise seat limited and competitive).

Currently leveling my crew in FTL. New computer so I'm playing in easy for the first.time in a while. I've got 151 scrap and I still have 5 stops.left in sector one, but I just ran into an asshole with just a bl1 and a system repair drone so I'm levelling the crew with 1 shield. Also got a 4th crew off a slaver ship. Things are going good. Kestrel btw, first run on this computer.

I am gonna be so fucked if it actually comes to a rental hearing. Is that like a "never represent yourself in court" thing? Is it gonna help my case if I break down and sob mid-hearing, because that's what's gonna happen.
