Shitr. It’s like Airbnb but for paying to poop in other people’s homes

[–] itsraining@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 17 hours ago

Kinda sounds like a social media platform devoted to shitposting

[–] BigLenin@hexbear.net 9 points 19 hours ago (2 children)

As a guy who constantly needs to pee I'd find this very useful.

[–] NPa@hexbear.net 2 points 5 hours ago

Sorry, Shitr is currently only for pooping, you need to install ProState (tm) for peeing. Both apps require a separate account and two-factor authentication (stool and urine sample) to set up.

I once had an idea for a dating app where you could just put a profile up and then set yourself to a unique mode where you would essentially automatically match with anyone who swiped right but also you couldn't scroll through profiles either.

My working name for the app was "Settle"

[–] john_brown@hexbear.net 9 points 18 hours ago

This but just for people in former colonies, call it Settlr

"Settle", but it's Tinder Al-Quds

Kribj (pronounced Steve) is Enterprise Solutions.

I remember a psych professor h I had had to choose a pronounceable word with no linguistic value and she settled on "plinth". Very embarrassing.

Zumf probably means something already.

[–] MLRL_Commie@hexbear.net 5 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago)

Plinth does sound fake, though. If you were saying s nonsense sentence and threw in plinth, I'd forget it was a real word immediately.

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 24 points 23 hours ago

Pimbu and it's a gig worker app for people to solve math questions for you.

[–] TraschcanOfIdeology@hexbear.net 16 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago) (1 children)

I have this confirmation bias where every time I hear the name of a new app or service and think "that's so stupid who would choose a name like that for a product", 100% of the time it's massively successful, and i often end up using it.

Quibi was a short-form streaming service that offered news and entertainment programs in 5- to 10-minute chunks

Damn, remember when we still had 5- to 10-minute attention spans? Really dating yourself with this reference here.

[–] NotLuigi@hexbear.net 7 points 19 hours ago

I’m still subscribed

[–] hexthismess@hexbear.net 18 points 22 hours ago
