It's a marketing campaign by the Third --

[...]; instead, it's the Third --

fidel-wut

this formatting is really making my brain's autocomplete function work overtime, considering it's about Azov

LMAO okay good, I'm not the only one.

Also what the heck do they think 'privatization' means?

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 12 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Isn't it appropriate here? Azov isn't officially part of the Ukrainian state.

I thought they incorporated it into their military?

I believe they incorporated Azov's fighting units essentially, but the Azov 'brand' and org for want of a better word remain separate. But that's also a pretty tenuous distinction when it comes to actual fighting, whether the state has materially supported them when the inevitable Nazi terror blowback comes etc.

What do you call a privately funded military again? I'm sure there's a word for that. 🤔 Ah well, I'm absolutely certain no organization like that has ever caused trouble for any nearby distressed governments. Nothing to worry about.

They're a Third something, wink wink

God, their rebranding is so blatant.
