Just had another low blood sugar attack. I hate them, they always ruin my day and leave me feeling so drained. All I want to do now is sleep. It's so bad when they come on I feel so weak and tired. Ugh, ugh, hate it.

Not to mention I need new glasses too. But it's such a pain to get anywhere when you don't have a car and a shithead for a father who's just as lazy as you are.

My resolution for last year was to see a doctor. I didn’t do it.

It’s been like five years

Put off until after the holidays:

  • general checkup
  • new pair of glasses (current ones are putting too much pressure on my ears)
  • colonoscopy

Getting older sucks 2/10

I also have both of those issues and ignore them pretty heavily. Eczema in my fucking ears. Being in a car dependent area with shitty public transit makes it really hard to actually get seen for anything

I got eczema in my scalp, on my chest, and now in my groin and it itches pretty badly there. I'm hoping to see a specialist who could get me on one of those medications you see all the time on tv commercials for. I imagine my hypoglycemia is going to have to be diet and lifestyle changes, should probably quit vaping too.

My front tooth chipped and then bits have been flaking off here and there (I lost a chunk biting into bread ugh). But I maxed out on what insurance would pay for 2024 (I had to have a crown and root canal done), so I've just been putting up with it for the last few months.

I'm hoping I don't lose the whole tooth. There's a small crack going down the middle which is how this started.

I need to get a passport so I can go down to Mexico on a small vacation and get my teeth fixed, have a few wisdom teeth, one of which desperately need to go and a broken molar yanked and the last time I went to a dentist they quoted me at like $2500 for the rest of my wisdom.

The psychiatrist in charge of my ADHD diagnosis told me to get bloodwork and an ekg done to see if I'd have any issues taking stimulants. 3 months ago.

I am, somewhat.

Had some mental health stuff pop up lately, as a result I’ve let some physical stuff sorta fall by the wayside. I have COPD, with yearly lung function tests done in December. Also have one of my 3x yearly endoscopy procedures done in December since by then I’ve hit my deductible and out of pocket max limits for the year and the larger procedures are covered fully.

Just so happens that while I was in the mental hospital was the time period for my lung function tests done and final endoscopy. So I missed those. Since I didn’t do my lung function test I can’t get a couple prescriptions I use daily. I have a few weeks left but it’ll take me a month to get rescheduled and back in to the lung dr office so I’ll end up with a week or two without my daily inhaler and likely end up having to visit an ER and hit up a nebulizer and steroids.

So, yeah.

I've had a hemorrhoid for 3 years so uh that I guess. I have a doctor I'm just too shy to tell her that I got butthole issues you know?

I need to start running more. A lot of my lifestyle choices were built around the fact that I ran or did some other form of exercise nearly every day. But over the last year or two I got depressed and lazy and gained a bunch of weight. Need to really start working out more, for a lot of reasons.

Relatable. Ever get so carried away with fitness that you get sick. I once found myself avoiding exercise cause I couldn't afford to miss work.

I had issues with Achilles tendon strain. Tendons heal very slowly and I was at a point where they healed up enough to stop hurting, but they still could quickly be re-injured.

Ugh yes don’t remind me. I need to get diagnosed or not diagnosed with colitis. Pretty sure I don’t have it, but should find out anyway. My doctor wants to do a cat scan, but I might just ask if we can do a colonoscopy and get it over with. Waiting for the spring in any case, due to Covid and other reasons

Also eczema and my knees hurt

[–] SpiderFarmer@hexbear.net 3 points 7 months ago

I dragged my feet on the whole Healthcare Marketplace thing, so no insurance this year. Granted, I'm sort of a fuck up, so I haven't had a primary care doctor in several years.

[–] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 3 points 7 months ago

Yes, but unless it's a hospital thing it ain't free
