Elon looks like a knock off Tommy Wiseau

Elon doesn't stand a chance once Ben turns off his cringe inhibitor.

[–] Playingwithethenew@kbin.social 30 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Ben Shapiro. He's got a sword.

The dumblander vs eddie gropeyhands, there can be only one. But if there's none that's even better.

[–] Rolando@lemmy.world 11 points 10 months ago

But if there’s none that’s even better.

[–] ReallyKinda@kbin.social 26 points 10 months ago (3 children)

Lol 2012 makes the elon picture even funnier, thought he was a bit younger than that in it

[–] Jay@sh.itjust.works 32 points 10 months ago (1 children)

He tweeted this picture in 2012.

"Wore Marquis de Sade outfit for a party last night. Was v popular with women who’d read 50 Shades :)"

[–] tacosplease@lemmy.world 13 points 10 months ago

I think it was for a Halloween party. Fuck him though. He deserves any teasing that comes his way.

[–] assplode@kbin.social 6 points 10 months ago

He's aged 30 years since then

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 24 points 10 months ago (1 children)

It's a tie. They're both losers.

[–] madcaesar@lemmy.world 9 points 10 months ago

And we're the losers for having to see these losers.

[–] fsxylo@sh.itjust.works 22 points 10 months ago

Wasn't it confirmed that that wasn't Ben Shapiro? The more closely you look, the less like him it looks.

[–] 0equals1@lemmy.world 20 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Is this real? I can not... wow...

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 44 points 10 months ago (1 children)

The left one is not ben. Sadly.

[–] InternetCitizen2@lemmy.world 12 points 10 months ago (1 children)
[–] hOrni@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

Not really. Look at the size of that sword. Looks like a child holding a grownups weapon. That's exactly how Benny would look. But I do agree, that's not him.

[–] Soulg@lemmy.world 9 points 10 months ago

I believe the left picture is Egoraptor/Arin Hanson, but the right picture is real, it's Elon dressed for some Halloween party

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 19 points 10 months ago

If they fought to the death? Society would win.

[–] cashews_best_nut@lemmy.world 16 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (2 children)

That looks like an Odachi sword. Which was normally back mounted and quite impractical. It was mostly used by samurai against cavalry, though Yari (spears) used by the common man were far more practical. The Odachi didn't last long and was rarely used in battle. Though there's a couple of notable exceptions in the later Sengoku period.

I've trained with one a few times. It's absolutely ridiculous to use.

[–] FrostyCaveman@lemm.ee 20 points 10 months ago

Sounds like a fun sword lol

Plot twist; this is a regular katana, it just looks big due to being wielded by Ben Shapiro who is 4 foot tall

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago
[–] Socsa@sh.itjust.works 16 points 10 months ago

Ok I'm back to the opinion that we need more bullying not less.

[–] LavaPlanet@lemmy.world 11 points 10 months ago

Omfg. Now it all makes sense.

Elon's got that JP from Grandma's Boy vibe.

"I'm a robot, I like robots, I have a robot vagina."

[–] Socsa@sh.itjust.works 2 points 10 months ago

I'm pretty sure the character specifically drew inspiration from Musk.

[–] FreshProduceAndShit@lemmy.ml 9 points 10 months ago (3 children)

My money is on Shapiro. He has the sword of course, but I get the sense that he is a smart guy who just plays a stupid guy on TV, unlike Elon who is the other way around

[–] CaptFeather@lemm.ee 3 points 10 months ago

I'd make that comment about Tucker Carlson, but I'm pretty sure Shapiro believes every word he says

[–] naevaTheRat@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 10 months ago

you should read his books on sex. That opinion will change real quick.

Man could dry up the oceans

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 2 points 10 months ago

I don't get the impression that Shapiro is putting on an act. I think he mostly believes the outrageous things he says, and when he doesn't it's because he's confident he can use his debating skills to muddy the waters.

With Musk, I think he's just a ruthless bully. I think he breaks laws, breaks norms, ignores morality, etc. and assumes he can get away with it. If he doesn't get away with it, his money will get him out of it, or he'll arrange for someone else to take the fall.

For something like this, look at what happened with Zuckerberg and the supposed cage match. Musk refused to back down, but also refused to commit. I bet he'd agree to some kind of death match, but then he'd keep changing the rules, or the venue, or the time. Meanwhile, I bet Shapiro would try to make a contract with some kind of sneaky clause in it that technically allowed him to have a relative fight on his behalf or something.

[–] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 7 points 10 months ago

Neither .... first physical touch between each other and both would fall over into a fetal position accusing the other of unfairly starting the fight when they weren't ready.

[–] TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Depends. Does Musk have his metal legs yet?

[–] KingJalopy@lemm.ee 2 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

How could you see him?

[–] mindbleach@sh.itjust.works 7 points 10 months ago

I refuse to believe Ben Shapiro was ever that cool.

However lame you think "that cool" is.

[–] ClockNimble@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

I was not aware Ben Shapiro was an expendable extra in the Demon Hunters until now.

[–] leaky_shower_thought@feddit.nl 5 points 10 months ago

they were men of culture.

and now, men of cult.

[–] Tylerdurdon@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

How would society lose if one of these fine chaps were to do the other one in?

[–] JokeDeity@lemm.ee 3 points 10 months ago

I like how it's young Ben, but a circa for Elon as if he's really some immortal demon.

[–] Jimmyeatsausage@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

Not America

[–] DennysMoshPit@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

Everyone watching.
