You should start using one of these ASAP since the web browser user interface is quite ugly, even with themes.

Summary

Germany is compiling a list of 579 existing bunkers and potential emergency shelters, including train stations, car parks, and private properties, amid rising tensions with Russia.

A digital directory and app will help civilians locate shelters, while citizens are encouraged to convert basements or garages for protection.

Down from 2,000 bunkers during the Cold War, the 579 bunkers now accommodate 480,000 people in a country of 84 million.

The initiative follows heightened concerns over Russian aggression, increased espionage in Germany, and warnings from German intelligence about potential NATO threats by 2030.

Speaking for myself, I will never set foot in the Elysian location in Capitol Hill after this, purchase any Elysian beer, or for that matter anything Anheuser-Busch makes.

I am reporting an odd placement on the floor that looks like a hidden wall but its inactive or doesn't exist though I am not sure if it's a design error and so sharing for Evan to look into it.

Official German statement to the decision of #ICC

Erklärung der Bundesregierung zum Beschluss des Internationalen Strafgerichtshofs (Presse- und Informationsamt der Bundesregierung, 2024-11-22)

“The German government was involved in drafting the ICC Statute and is one of the ICC's biggest supporters. This attitude is also the result of German history.

“At the same time, as a consequence of German history, we are bound to Israel with unique relationships and great responsibility.

“We will carefully examine the domestic steps. Any further action would only be taken if it is foreseeable that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Joaw Galant will be visiting #Germany.”

So, keep them outside of German territory, and forget. 🙆

I'm currently running two campaigns, one for Lancer and one for Masks.

In Lancer, my players just finished their first series of combat. They had opened up with making a supply raid against a convoy, taking out their escorts and then seizing it. Now, for the second half, they held back against enemy reinforcements while their transport made away with the supplies. They now have enough materials to perform maintenance and upgrade their mechs, clone themselves in case of emergency, and have retrieved some mysterious black crates that seem to emit an unusual wavelength. For our next session, I'll be showing them about leveling up, as well as providing information on the narrative mechanics of Bonds.

For Masks, we had our Session 0. All players are new to both the system (PbtA) and the game, but they're interested in learning and have dedicated themselves so far. The 4 playbooks they chose were Doomed, Nova, Legacy and Transformed, which give me a lot of leeway into presenting extra-powerful threats and letting the sword of collateral damage hang over their heads - as well as promise power at a cost to a few, if they're willing to pay. We are playing on a world that had a type of "No more mutants" tragedy happening, and 95% of all metahumans/superpowered folks have disappeared, leaving the remaining teams to "promote" teen heroes to the front to deal with keeping peace. Next week they're going to face their first threat, as well as deal with their internal turmoil over being handed such responsibility.

How about y'all, what have you been into?

Fresh protest in White House on Biden’s Israel policy (Politico, 2024-11-18)

[https://www.politico.com/newsletters/national-security-daily/2024/11/18/fresh-protest-in-white-house-on-bidens-israel-policy-00183727] ———

Fresh, latest and perhaps the last? Anyway, I’d like to remember there have been a number of conscientious White House staffers throughout…

“… a group of at least 20 White House staffers call out the Biden administration for failing to follow through on demands issued … on Oct. 13, which required Israel to take ‘concrete measures’ within 30 days to improve the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.”

“‘You are running out of time to do the right thing, but decisive action could save precious lives in the next two months,’ the staffers write.”

“This marks the latest in a flurry of letters from U.S. government officials urging Biden to cut or condition U.S. support for Israel…”

“… An open letter in July signed by more than 500 appointees and staffers condemned the deep humanitarian impact of U.S. policy while funding the war in Gaza.”

Didn't get anywhere personally and they already tried reddit's version of tomt, so I hope someone can help. To cut the story short a person I know asked me to help them find a movie and here's what they remember, its not much but its what we got: • The doctor got infected because of the patient he was working on.

• The son hitched a ride on his dad's car and stayed in the bathroom, watching through the ajar door.

• There's a behind shot of the prostitute sawing off his leg and lifting it up to examine it.

• After feeding him, the prostitute lays down on the same bed as the doctor to watch TV and eat pizza.

• The characters were all white, I think the doctor was stocky? I can remember exact details except maybe the prostitute had a ponytail?

• After the prostitute leaves, the boy exits the bathroom and the doctor finally notices him. I think he has a look of despair as the boy solemnly leaves the motel room.

• I think I watched this in the early 2000s and it was set in that timeframe.

I remember it being swathed in blue I think it was in color though, just a bit subdued?
