People are a lot nicer to me now than before I transitioned, which is nice, but it feels like a lot of them also assume I'm dumb af, which never happened when I was a "guy".

I kinda expected it from men, but what's caught me off guard is that a lot of women do it too.

It literally changes people's perception of you, I think, when they make this assumption that you are an airheaded girl and then you start talking smart shit about whatever. They look at you funny.

It's kinda nice at work though. If I'm there with someone older or more masc than me, clients will speak to that person first 90 % of the time, so less for me to do I guess blob-no-thoughts

yea wen patriarchal preconceptions mean less talking and less work...

just wait until you have to suddenly do all the administrative tasks and don’t get fun assignments anymore

Well I am dumb af so maybe the extra explaining will be helpful.

Women doing it too is bizarre, I don't understand so much of socializing.

Too be fair, it's mostly boomer ladies and older, but it's still kinda weird. Like, they've been young women themselves at some point.

Always interesting seeing stories where its people like someone's siblings or parents who start doing that kind of thing. Like, I saw someone whose dad and brother accidentally started explaining sports to her when its a sport they might have literally played and whom they've been watching sports with for like decades.

how wrong is it that i enjoy this

I know it's at least a little wrong, but like, on a scale from 1 to 10
