Let's see Drumpf wriggle his way out of this one!

Surely letting Trump's fate rest on the lesser charges won't backfire in any way!

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 27 points 1 year ago

Trump sent Joey Knuckles and his boys down to the courthouse and they told the judge be a real shame if you had an accident.

how many Ls do liberals take until its me who's taking Ls by spending my limited sentience bearing witness to this circus? feeling pointless here.

I was listening to Liz (Trueanon) explain how they actually got the felony convictions on Trump and, don't quote me on this, but I think the Liberals are going to be very unhappy with the appeals case.

The literal 5D legal chess and stack of technicalities required to even express the substance of the prosecution's argument is hilarious and will absolutely never make it through an appeal. Gonna be a fun summer.

lol and the documents trial is basically being delayed indefinitely by his crony judge

I couldn't explain it if I wanted to, it's extremely weird.

[–] FungiDebord@hexbear.net 8 points 1 year ago

Ah. Was this on the pod (could you link)? Are you personal friends with Liz(she can dm me)?

[–] dannoffs@hexbear.net 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It was some weird technicality that they used to make them felonies. Unless he's convinced of a second crime that he was falsifying business records in furtherance of, the charges should have been misdemeanors.

That's the Noo Yawk case, right? Fani is GA

Oh, I see, that's what Frank was talking about (thought he was talking about Georgia-- yes, that's all my understanding as well)

[–] tactical_trans_karen@hexbear.net 18 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Huh, I thought this was the case they had solid evidence on...

[–] dannoffs@hexbear.net 18 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The staying has nothing to do with the actual case. It's stayed because the Georgia DA is sleeping with the special prosecutor.

[–] tactical_trans_karen@hexbear.net 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh yeah! So, are they likely to change out the DA and pick it back up?

[–] dannoffs@hexbear.net 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I think so. From what I recall she could also just delegate the case to someone else and it would move forward but is refusing to do that.

[–] tactical_trans_karen@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Careerist hubris, contempt for Trump, or something else? 🤔

[–] NewLeaf@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago

She's obviously a right wing Russian Chinese tankie

i stand behind my vibe based reading. nothing will come from all of these trials, and the more attention the media and the democrats devotes to this legal circus, the more they'll help trump's reelection chances

[–] bigboopballs@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago

I hope he wins.
