I know Trump's word is worth less than dogshit, but hypothetically, he's now the harm reduction candidate when it comes to Ukraine.

Of course the liberals of reddit are hand-wringing about Putin and "tHe FrEe WoRlD"

Prediction:

He is gonna get elected and but wont cut of the aid.

chuds are gonna praise and like he did something.

Libs are gonna cry that he surrendering to Russia

The money will flow to him and his friends instead.

I wish that money would stop flowing that way at all and just build housing at least. If Trump at least built socialized housing, I'd vote for him every time he was up for reelection.

Trump committing treason against his people, the developers and landlords, ripping up the urban freeways to make room for subsidized Trumpkas :brutalist-highrise:

[-] anarchoilluminati@hexbear.net 5 points 2 weeks ago

It would be wildly unlike him but nice.

[-] Ildsaye@hexbear.net 5 points 2 weeks ago

We all deserve a little bourgeois class treason this holiday season blushing-engels

Apparently Trump didn't understand the point of the movie of the JFK assassination from an angle he hadn't seen before when they showed it to him last time...

[-] Rod_Blagojevic@hexbear.net 16 points 2 weeks ago

He probably wasn't paying attention. Honestly, it's part of his charm.

[-] ped_xing@hexbear.net 12 points 2 weeks ago

I mean, obviously not at first, but several hours later . . .

[-] Rx_Hawk@hexbear.net 52 points 2 weeks ago

Then he'll spend the money on helping people?

My favorite part about tbis is that democrats have no desire to put in place safeguards to prevent him from doing this (even though he’s subservient to the deep state as anyone else). They’ll cry and blame tankies and Putler and 50 cent armies but they will do absolutely nothing to prevent Trump from ruining their agenda.

Useless freaks. Even if i cared about voting and ukraine, i wouldn’t vote for the losers who are incapable and/or unwilling to use their powers to crush their opponents. Unless they’re unarmed college students of course.

[-] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 46 points 2 weeks ago

He won't do this but he would already have better foreign policy and Biden if he did

Shortest 10 year defensive pact ever

[-] Tachanka@hexbear.net 37 points 2 weeks ago

oh no what ever will the ukrainians do without the US privatizing their economy, fueling their civil war, and demanding they fight endlessly against Russia in one of the most pointless murderfests of all time.

[-] Droplet@hexbear.net 34 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

This is why he won’t win. Way too many bourgeois interests tied up in Ukraine now, especially if the theory that the Democrats are running a money laundering front in Ukraine for their proxies is true (and also explains why the MAGA Republicans would want to cut off that channel).

[-] MemesAreTheory@hexbear.net 24 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah i basically see this article being written as a warning to the MIC - back your boy Biden or lose your golden goose.

[-] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 12 points 2 weeks ago

I'm almost certain MAGA republicans are in on it too, but they have to posture to their base for votes

[-] Droplet@hexbear.net 16 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

I would have believed this if the Republicans hadn’t spent months trying to block the $60 bil Ukraine bill.

Like, I would need a very good explanation of why the Republicans would block such a spending bill if this was a bipartisan issue.

It literally took an Iranian strike on Israel (which was 100% provoked by the US) to force the bill on the floor and they finally got it passed together with another $26 bil to Israel.

The Republicans weren’t worried about their voter base (come on, the Republican voters would believe anything their masters say), they were afraid of the Democrats poaching their donors away because the Democrats have now set up a special money laundering shop in Ukraine that as long as the war keeps going, they can blatantly pass 100s of billions of spending there with little oversight. Everyone who has been missing out now wants a slice of that big pie. How do you get into the club? By getting behind the Democrats and Joe Biden.

This actually also explains why the Republicans had been so intent on crucifying Hunter Biden, because he is a prominent link that exposes the Biden family and their proxies to the Ukraine laundering operation.

I am not saying that this is the truth, but it all makes sense when you see it this way and piecing together all the events that happened over the past 2 years. Also, this is literally how AIPAC works, a money laundering front for Israeli money (funded by the US federal government) to flow back to both Republicans and Democrats in Washington.

I wonder if there was an increase in MIC flavored campaign donations before the vote that the Repubs decided to stop fighting the bill on?

He may promise to shift from Ukraine to China, to escalate another trade war and more. I don`t know which one the CPC prefers but certainly Trump is even more likely to do something stupid in Taiwan specially if they pitch it to him like an opportunity to surpass Biden.

He may be better on Ukraine but he is same or worse everywhere else. Everything points towards China now so if he realizes he can trade Ukraine with his own war against China he will get broad support from everyone except the few aligned with the tech megacorps and he is just as likely to win.

Putin was willing to negotiate before the war, but the CPC can only continue to compromise up to a certain point.

[-] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 20 points 2 weeks ago

:yea: as I understand it, militarily, the American empire is using Ukraine to encircle Russia first then using their experience there to use what they learn for the fascists in the RoC. But because chuds think Russia is based, they want to go on all out war with China immediately because of gommulism.

Imagining a cold, calculating general trying to explain this strategy to a state department ghoul who's wearing branded merch from every arms dealer in the country and who keeps miming rubbing dollar bills together and grinning and interrupting to say "this guy knows what I'm talking about" and elbowing the similarly dressed CIA ghoul next to him.

He may promise to shift from Ukraine to China

Oh come the fuck on! I'm so fucking tired of this shit, comrade. Actually I need to take an Internet break now

[-] chickentendrils@hexbear.net 25 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

doubt just needs the MIC to cut him in or lean on him like obviously happened with the GOP house speaker

That April 2022 peace deal is going to have been the best deal the average civilian governed by UA could've gotten this decade... Obviously so, because it would have avoided most of the refugee crisis, risk of thermonuclear escalation and winter, destruction of built environment, and some of both the further entrenching of the existing fascist oligarchy & requisite IMF/World Bank loans and austerity to rebuild shittier.

[-] marxisthayaca@hexbear.net 21 points 2 weeks ago

well he is definitely not getting elected now lmao

[-] FuckyWucky@hexbear.net 18 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

The corporate aligned bureaucrats won't be happy so not likely

[-] quarrk@hexbear.net 16 points 2 weeks ago

Trump only wants to pull out of Ukraine in order to intensify the focus on China. Biden wants to weaken Russia first because he thinks China can’t be beat before they are isolated.

Maybe it's partially that but I think it's more to focus on helping Israel with their genocide.

I know Trump's word is worth less than dogshit, but hypothetically, he's now the harm reduction candidate when it comes to Ukraine.

Can you explain? Do you mean because this will force a Ukraine surrender and prevent more war and death?

[-] MemesAreTheory@hexbear.net 22 points 2 weeks ago

Exactly that. We often quip that "America is willing to fight this war to the last Ukrainian." That's barely sarcasm if you listen to the words uttered by the ghouls in power directly, who crow proudly about how they are weakening Russia without the cost of any American lives. Ukraine has been pressing men into service, abducting them off the streets and from the arms of their loved ones, so they might be forced to the front line and be turned into pink mist. This presentation of events is not to give favor or preference to Russia, but simply to acknowledge that the slaughter could not continue without Western Aid and support. This war would have been over long ago had Ukraine simply ceded the two breakaway provinces, but with the meddling of NATO and particularly the US and UK, it has been egged on until hundreds of thousands are now dead or permanently maimed. All this is an exercise of expanding military industrial complex executives yearly bonuses, impoverishing Europe so they are more reliant on the US and less independent, and expanding markets for Western capital. How cheap other people's lives are in the eyes of our overlords.
