I have noticed that /c/movies has mentioned that they are playing the debate.
I am choosing to not watch the debate on /c/movies because of their usage of peertube. Before the debate they are playing Sopranos from peertube. Using peertube exposes your IP address to other users which is why their thread mentions using a VPN.
Proud of ya'll and thankful for your sacrifice and suppressing your gag reflexes to harvest memes for the community. i don't have the stomach for it

In response to a yes-or-no question, Kamala will deliver a meandering, incoherent word salad response that sounds suspiciously like a college sophomore trying to bulk out their word count, but pundits will laud her as sounding "sharp" and "intelligent" and "like a schoolteacher" laying out the facts, when in truth, she deftly sidestepped any hint of specifics or details.
Trump will try to get in a zinger (e.g., "WRONG"), but he will fuck up the timing and everyone -- including a cohort of his own supporters -- will just stare at him like he's an asshole. Pundits will gloss over it, but the Q goons will twist themselves into knots trying to prove that it was a revelatory moment in which God-Emperor exposed one of the hidden fundamental truths or some shit. Barron Trump will briefly flirt with the idea of becoming a luchador thumb wrestler.
What if Trump brings up being shot and Kamala makes fun of him and then it becomes okay to do suddenly?

I watched the entire thing. I feel dumber and less informed now than I was before watching. My conclusion: both candidates should be gently placed in a field and set upon by dogs or perhaps wolves.
I did notice one thing - in terms of correcting outright bullshit when possible and asking decent questions I thought the moderation was considerably better than the Biden-Trump one and it did not matter at all, because both candidates were doing the "answer the question you wish they'd asked" thing everyone has now internalized as the least risky way to handle these things. Harris did a slightly different version of this where she adds a "I'm gonna tackle that point by point" type preamble before not doing that.
I don't have it in me to check. How bad is

I've been ignoring my lib friend chat alerts but saw in a notification someone saying "so smug omg" and I went to check because maybe they were saying something interesting and dude was referring to Trump lol

I decided not to watch. Who's winning so far and why?
Probably Kamala but only because Trump is yelling a lot and saying some really insane alt-right shit that is going to be off-putting to the normal whites.
