Yesterday I was sitting on top of a half disassembled tractor engine, with grease and sockets everywhere, eating my lunch of falafel and listening to the brace-dark-cowboy episode about afghan heroin when my elderly MAGA nut/Jehovah's witness/ 24hr/day fox news watching manager walked in.

She offered no comment lol

You can easily play off TrueAnon as right wing conspiracy radio.

"Dont worry, both of these are undecided voters. One sells crypto and the other is an anti semite (allegedly)"

One time I was giving a ride to a friend and my Bluetooth started playing an episode of trueanon I was on. I fumbled to pause it, but she had already heard some of it. Swear to God she turned her head and asked me "wait how is this guy gay if he's a pussy eater?"

my old boss once saw I had the wikipedia homepage open on my laptop which had the Karl Marx article as featured article of the day, and she proceeded to interrogate me about being a marxist and spending time reading marxism instead of working

spoilerwhich I of course did, all day everyday, but ironically not on this one occasion

That's a good ass episode. For some reason i never made the link between Afghanistan and the opioid epidemic

I was gonna be all like 'really? You didn't know that?' And then remembered most people aren't friends with too many heroin addicts.

And notice how difficult getting heroin has been with fentanyl becoming much more common since the US was kicked out of Afghanistan 🙃

Something like 90% more difficult, perhaps

The past few episodes have been blowback lite. Fucking bangers

I think that Seth Harp might be one of their best recurring guests.

Semi-unrelated but I really feel bad for people who were raised as Witnesses. One of the only religions where you can genuinely believe and still not be guaranteed a reward because Heaven has an entry limit. Shit must be stressful.

I just started this podcast! Episode what, 16? My partner and I were listening to it together and laughing because it’s all about how health insurance is stacked against Americans. 2019, very relevant today.

There’s some missing episodes early on. I wonder why?

The episode that came out like last week was about Afghanistan so it was probably that
