I had a friend from Peru in highschool. I pushed back when they criticized us for having bread alongside pasta. And it's something I think about and regret to this day. I still do it but I think about them when I do

CW: Animal products

I'd say this is the ultimate in American carb indulgence, but they love the shit out of these in Korea so idk

Honestly I'm baffled at how Italians tend to be so much more fit than Amerikkkans when their cuisine is carbs on carbs with some carbs on the side.

I agree with @robot_dog_with_gun@hexbear.net a LOT but with an asterisk[1]. When I escaped the anglosphere for a few weeks I ate with abandon whatever I wanted and spent on the order of $3 for a meal prepared by someone else. The food is higher quality and fresher too. They just give you a reasonable portion. I lost weight. I ate all the take out I wanted, chocolate when I could find it, and just went around having fun and I saved money while losing weight. Never felt hungry, never felt pain. I don't mean to go full RFK Jr but it makes me wonder what the fuck we're doing here - I think the food is making us sick.

Treatbrain is when you have the same treats that have been available for the better part of a century but now they're in a new box together

What's in the bottom? Cakes?

I believe the Triple® ❄️❄️ Treat Box* contains TWO MEDIUM 1-TOPPING PIZZAS, FIVE BREADSTICKS, AND TEN CINNABON® MINI ROLLS.

But you may have to do some research to find a source. It's a mystery where one might find that information.

Can I ping you whenever I want to know what's in a Papa Johns deal? (I will still not eat there)

[–] MolotovHalfEmpty@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago

With a glaze of pizza grease if the few times I've seen the bottom of a Pizza Hut box are typical.

looks like cinnamon rolls and some kind of sweet bread stick deal.

they have been offering something like this in one long in unwieldly box for years, but this shelved arrangement looks easier to carry and more like a present. I'm sure pre-assembly is an MF, but that's what minimum wage and unpaid assistant manager salary time is for!

also, yes, they should call this the Type 2 Diabetes Triple Treat Box.

Treat, Carnist: catgirl-disgust

Treat, Vegan: catgirl-heart

When they come over I call them the triple treat box because it's a treat to witness their mind, body, and soul

[–] varmint@hexbear.net 5 points 1 week ago

Maybe it's because I'm hungry, but this greasy stack of bread and cardboard sings to me. As long as those pizzas are vegan, please give

How in the fuck can one claim three courses, and have the first two courses be pizza? In any context, it wouldn't make sense. "Our first course is a garden salad, followed by our second course, caesar salad."
