It's wild that liberals can't see through the rhetorical trick of "tankie". There was maybe a month where it fooled me- this fringe group of extremists are supporting something too far. But then you critically analyse hexbear, the most tankie forum I know of, and we just want mass transit and the basic right to self-actualisation. r/Chapotraphouse was just my neighbours saying they deserve the same shit I deserve and being honest about the structural barriers to that. The moment I saw what tankies were advocating for and the organisational reasons why, it became the bare minimum standard for taking someone seriously as an adult. Anticommunists inherently choose fascism.

If I were to perceive someone as tankie(bad) it would likely be ultras. They already have a name, though.
This comes solely from the association in my mind with MoreTankieChapo discord which was full of "there is no AES" china bad ultras.
Nothing liberals do surprises me anymore. Once you realize that liberals are just Nazis that will lie to your face about being a good person, even as they pull the trigger to kill you, it all makes sense.
That's unfair. Some of them might hand the gun to a woman before you get executed to make female participation closer to 50/50.
It's the critical support and anti-imperialist stuff that seems to confuse them the most. I think it completely breaks their brain to prioritize problems and take them one at a time, assessing situations based on current material conditions but with an eye forward to a future socialist world. Except for the US - they can have this kind of naunce for the US and it's politicians for some reason, but not other governments or people.

That's not true I am totally strong and tough and I could absolutely wreck their shit if I wanted to. The cool part is that because I am a tankie I don't want to, infact one of the things is that motivate me to excercise is that if I am strong I could someday help people. They understand that ideal tankie isn't harmless, cause of the tanks or whatever, they just on a deep level empathize with nazis enough to know that they could be in danger

I get called a tankie all the time, at this point the label gets applied to literally anyone to the left of Biden if you're even vaguely anti-war, regardless of the work you do or the positions you hold. Nobody who ever was a fascist was queer (just ignore Milo, Fuentes, Caitlin Jenner, Blair White, Anne Marie Waters, Alice Weidel, Peter Boykin). Outing homosexuals so they face precarity in a hostile world has only been used as a cudgel by "bad guys" and never by "good guys". I blame contra for this.
BreadTube in general was such a flop. For every one person it got into leftist ideology in a positive way, it seemingly produced a thousand radlibs and self-important streamer-fanboys.
It turns out that encouraging already alienated individuals to watch hours long videos of primarily shallow aesthetics and naval gazing philosophy on their laptops wasn't the key to building any kind of real world solidarity.
