The fact he's too stupid to Google "do I have to use a Microsoft account to login to Windows 11" is astounding. People believe this guy engineers rockets, laughable.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

The number of times people have told me, "well SpaceX engineers have been quoted as saying he's very competent!" Yeah, how big was their bonus after that?

Companies that function have Musk handlers. Twitter and now seemingly Tesla have failed to keep him at bay and you can see the end results.

In two years time there will be retrospective articles about how could the country have let him fuck the government up so bad, how did no one see this coming, why did no one stop him... Etc

Is it really a broken clock situation if you’re guilty of the very thing you’re complaining about?

[–] syklemil@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah, this is just pot calling the kettle black, or seeing the splinter in his neighbor's eye but not the beam in his own (or whatever it is in English).

[–] LordPassionFruit@lemm.ee 1 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

I have never heard that idiom and I love it

[–] syklemil@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago)

It's one of many things out of the bible that have pretty much just become a saying (the splinter/beam one)

This guy is the definition of stupidity, Microsoft has many things to be hated on but this is not one of them. He is complaining just like the average Windows user

[–] lseif@sopuli.xyz 8 points 10 hours ago (1 children)
[–] EddoWagt@feddit.nl 2 points 9 hours ago

Yeah this is absolutely one of them. Elon Musk is right in this case, although he's still an idiot

[–] NickwithaC@lemmy.world 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Yes it's just you. There is still a local account option in windows 11.

There are enough other things to hate Microsoft for but this is not one of them.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago)

I don't think there is anything for Elon to hate Microsoft for considering he does all the same things.

The super genius apparently doesn't hate them enough to bother using a free alternative that doesn't have these issues.

Unelected immigrant with illegal unfettered access to all data in the entire federal government complains about having to have a microsoft account to use Windows.

[–] Pyr_Pressure@lemmy.ca 57 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Don't you need to create an X account just to look at posts on X?

[–] bestboyfriendintheworld@sh.itjust.works 16 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

Use xcancel.com to see tweets without an account.

Don't you need to give all your information to AI if you have ever interacted with the government in the past?

Wait the richest asshole in the world uses regular windows like poor commoners?

Because he has access to many sensitive data, shouldn't be using windows enterprise with a finely tuned group policy by some AD guru??

[–] joel_feila@lemmy.world 32 points 1 day ago (1 children)

No I am not seeing it I use Linux

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

See? That's why you're not a genius like Elon Musk! He knows that Linux is too hard!

[–] bhsuarez@infosec.pub 15 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

LOL yeah dude you just

In the setup page before you select language Open cmd with Shift + F10 and type OOBE\BYPASSNRO

Then set up the computer without internet

[–] Psythik@lemmy.world 7 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Or just use Rufus to make the ISO and check the box to bypass creating an account. I'm dual booting Windows 11 right now without one.

For the world’s smartest guy, he sure is stupid

[–] Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Anyone who thinks he's the smartest guy at anything has been organically lobotomized by a brain worm

[–] dependencyinjection@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Wait we don’t live in a meritocracy after all?

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 29 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Somebody's mad Bill said he was craaaaaaazy

[–] ad_on_is@lemm.ee 23 points 1 day ago (2 children)

We know how this ends

  1. Elon complains
  2. Elon buys
  3. Elon destroys
[–] Don_alForno@feddit.org 14 points 1 day ago

If Elon destroyed MS, that would be a net positive.

[–] guiguinofake@sh.itjust.works 3 points 21 hours ago

Read it as micrococks

Click domain join instead and then create a local account

[–] Guitarfun@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (2 children)

That option only shows up when you set up Pro edition unfortunately.

[–] Bytemeister@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (4 children)

Shift F10 opens a command window, OOBE\bypassnro

Or run ipconfig /release

This will disconnect your internet connection for a moment and allow you to create a local account.
