Chirac, a Roman Catholic, promptly asked his staff to call the French Federation of Protestants...

Sentences that could have been in the 16th century

The French would have absolutely not had a federation of protestants in the 16th century

Edict of Nantes was signed in 1598, which is still technically in the 16th century. technically the French Federation of Protestants started in 1905, but the concept of a French conferring with protestants would have started then.

We had so much discourse back then about the WoT being a modern day crusade. The evangelicals had a lot more power back then that's been watered down by the expansion of the culture war, imo. Lol, the billionaires diversified their foot soldiers. frothingfash

I think Iraqis and Afghans would even refer to American troops as "crusaders" as a type of slur, too, back in 2005ish at the height of both wars.

I was a teenager during the W. years and I just remember it as the bleakest time. Not the best time in my life and just terrible politically. Very similar to the Biden years (W. and Biden are almost the same guy in so many ways), except imagine that no one is fighting back (except some pretty desperate people in Iraq and Afghanistan I guess) and all you know about Marxism comes from the cow poster on the wall of the English teacher's classroom. Don't get me wrong, things are still very bad now...but back then, they were possibly worse.

Even though Gog and Magog are the only ranged units there, you don't use ranged builds while playing Inferno!

Bush taking the mask off to reveal what the "War on Terror" was really about.

If he'd read the Left Behind novels he'd know that Gog and Magog are actually Russia and Ethiopia
