I had to see what their source was on him calling Jews "inbred" and it links to the fucking Destiny wiki HAHAHAHAHAHA

As far as I can tell, the only people he's calling inbred are settlers, IDF, and Israeli Orthodox Jews. That last one is a little dodgy but also probably true, if they're anything like other hyper-conservative religions

he's called all hogs inbred at some point, which while not a cool thing to call someone, goes into the "my enemies are ontologically evil and deserve all the abuse I can throw at them" category.

As far as I know, the stigma within some Jewish cultures against intermarriage ("shiksa," etc.) has been provably relatively "successful," but that doesn't make it not an antisemitic trope, and indeed it's one fash love to use. It still is one and I'd say you just shouldn't call a Jewish person inbred unless they were doing racial purity politics which, well, actually you could still call the bulk of hardline zionists inbred by that metric, so I guess it's a wash.

That said, I think he has only actually applied it to what amount to a particular subcultural strain of hog in Israel (where he is using it to mean chauvinist hick) and the IDF like you said, where I don't remember the context. There was another time where he laughed at some Jewish students reporting on Fox that they were called inbred by campus protesters, but Hasan said it was because of the absurdity of the interview (which I think is fair, it was very mellow dramatic for zero evidence or corroboration of an event that "happened" in broad daylight in a busy space with cameras around).

But yeah, there's a repeated issue with reporting on him using the Destiny wiki/subreddit as a source, which tells you about how much real research his right-opposition tends to do.

The ultra orthodox Hasidic community is extremely insular; they rarely even intermarry with Jews who aren’t Hasidic. On top of that, the vast majority of them come from a handful of Polish communities. So yeah, that particular sect has issues with genetic diversity.

Destiny has a whole wiki…tf?

[–] Boynomoder@hexbear.net 48 points 1 week ago

On no…Twitch streamers giving young boys extremist politics? This is the first I’m hearing of this.

i dont think i've ever seen him wear a keffiyeh before, but of course that's the pic they're gonna use of him so ppl know he's a scary arab i guess

[–] mathemachristian@hexbear.net 23 points 1 week ago

Not even an arab but the western brainpan loves tying ethnicity and religion together

[–] JoeByeThen@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Pretty sure he was wearing one during the recent LA uprisings.

[–] TheSpectreOfGay@hexbear.net 4 points 1 week ago

yea i'm not saying he never wears it, i just don't watch him much and it's really obvious why that's the image they used

[–] Xiisadaddy@lemmygrad.ml 17 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Nah. That would backfire. Hes much more useful as someone to villify. Atleast for now.

[–] CredibleBattery@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Maybe? Who knows. But why risk it? If i was Hasan i wouldn't take my chances and stay, at least not in public. but it seems like he already made his decision anyways

[–] Xiisadaddy@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 1 week ago

i mean if i had that much money id be in China already ya, but he's still pretty America coded and seems to want to stay and fight. Its personal preference.

[–] BynarsAreOk@hexbear.net 16 points 1 week ago

No benefit yet. It would only galvanize the lib-baby socialist pipeline on social media.

The right completely dominates YT and streaming now, except for some niches on tiktok. Hasan stands out not because he is particularly great but because he is the only big figure remaining. For example Asmongold is living in a basement, proudly proclaims doesn't take a baths and literaly have dead rats around him. Someone like that already managed to rise to the top of "politics" streaming.

If they're truly concious about this it would be a mistake to open up the left wing social media sphere to creators more radical than Hasan. He does far more good than bad overall, but he is not radicalizing towards any movement yet.

Isn't the youngest of Gen Z like 20 already?

[–] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 26 points 1 week ago

It's okay some of us millennials are grandparents already and have been for years.

[–] TrashGoblin@hexbear.net 9 points 1 week ago

No, the youngest of Gen Z is 14 or 15. I know this only because I know someone with kids who are GenZ in high school and GenAlpha in middle school.

[–] GladimirLenin@hexbear.net 25 points 1 week ago

I wish Hasan was "extreme" left
