WKUK is peak 2007-2010 sketch humor in all the best and worst ways. And it was aired on TV too.

Banned? DM Wmill to appeal.

Slop posts go in c/slop. Don't post low-hanging fruit here.
Whoever's been running their youtube and reposting old sketches with topical titles is doing pretty well.
the race war sketch is incredible
Outside of the frequent use of the R and F words, Wkuk holds up well. Characters acting homophobic is pretty blunt and I'm sure off putting to some, but it's usually clear they're making fun of homophobes.
I'm mostly in agreement with you. Though here and there I see skits that could be construed as sexist cringe in 2025. Maybe they were being ironically sexist? But it's still hard to watch now.
I do mostly enjoy the show tho.
You're right, I'm sure they had some sexist .
NGL I probably would make the same joke in 2008
Being a male means being raised to be a piece of shit by your culture then unlearning it.
The Halloween skit where he's a cat girl teacher is my favorite
Comrade, that's Timmy Williams not Darren.
they all were except Timmy... though the beans sketch was strangely appealing
I dunno, Timmy too...
Different time
Different time
"Obviously there were never any actual people at that point in time saying things like "you shouldn't do this." And "this is wrong." everyone was just equally awful until the inveitable arc of progress caught up with them. The actual victims of whatever I am papering over thankfully were the majority of the people against this at the time and since they don't have the power to just stop it from happening they arent really people so we have to track time by how the people doing this feel about the thing they caused at any given moment because might makes right or something.
More like “it was a period where things were so normalized that the amount of people saying this is wrong was drowned out and hard to come by”
It’s slightly disingenuous to act like a child of the 80s and 90s would stumble upon voices of the oppressed, which were actively stifled, and culturally we were taught to ignore.
I do not believe this excuses it of course but just as I think there is understanding to be had for the damaged victim of abusive guardians who then starts to perpetuate that cycle I think there is understanding to be had here as well. Similarly as said it does not excuse it and just as in that example while I have understanding I also still hold that victim accountable for their actions, though this consequence may be modulated given the circumstances. There is nuance, is my point
