Corvidae cause I'm wicked smaht

[–] The_Grinch@hexbear.net 22 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Most likely to get a DnD sesh going. They're all playing kenkus though so you have to do all the talking, could be tiring.

[–] ElChapoDeChapo@hexbear.net 15 points 1 week ago

I get around this by simply playing a telepathic subclass with an ability that let's us all talk to each other

[–] woodenghost@hexbear.net 31 points 1 week ago

I love all of them, but probably corvids, cause we'd relate over shiny things.

This year, I started always having some unsalted peanuts in my handbag too share with crows in case I get a random encounter. Even if most of them probably never have seen one, they only take seconds to figure out to crack the shell. I go past them stop and then throw the peanuts behind me (but not directly at them). That gets their attention immediately without scaring them.

Anyone not at the corvid table consider yourself blocked.

[–] corvidenjoyer@hexbear.net 13 points 1 week ago

This person gets it. bird-guerrila

[–] Nakoichi@hexbear.net 8 points 1 week ago

Seems like such an easy answer. Obviously the most sociable of the bunch though I am a big fan of raptors.

[–] Nakoichi@hexbear.net 24 points 1 week ago

Corvid gang obviously

I'm apparently not allowed inside the building.

[–] woodenghost@hexbear.net 18 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Is it because you're a cat?

corvids are the dickheads of the bird world and i relate to that

[–] Owl@hexbear.net 21 points 1 week ago

Caw caw fellow corvids.

(Are they falling for it?)

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 20 points 1 week ago

Songbirds, but I'm being bullied by the corvids and crying

[–] sisatici@hexbear.net 18 points 1 week ago

do not sit with birds of prey. their tabble smells like ass. I am not goint to give the name of one particiluar bird who was responsible for odour

[–] abc@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago

corvids are gonna have the only actual intelligent conversation so eyah

[–] queermunist@lemmy.ml 15 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Waterfowl. We're planning to go out to the lagoon this weekend.

[–] Cat_Daddy@hexbear.net 8 points 1 week ago

Kayaking with waterfowl on the lake is fucking awesome

[–] ElChapoDeChapo@hexbear.net 15 points 1 week ago

I'm chilling with the hummingbirds and woodpeckers just out of the shot

[–] TraschcanOfIdeology@hexbear.net 15 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The only reason I'm not feeling great about the corvid table is that I feel they'd bully me.

[–] BakerBagel@midwest.social 12 points 1 week ago

Yeah, bluejays are right bastards. Mean SOB's that will tear the shingles off your roof because they didn't like your bird seed

[–] LaBellaLotta@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago

In reality the blue jays would have their own table they would never allow themselves to be sorted in with the general corvids

[–] PKMKII@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago
[–] GoodGuyWithACat@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'd want to sit with birds of prey but they'd tell me no and the shorebirds would accept me.

[–] john_brown@hexbear.net 13 points 1 week ago (1 children)

the shorebirds would tell you this beach is for locals only and be really rude about it for no good reason

[–] GoodGuyWithACat@hexbear.net 6 points 1 week ago

Then I guess I'll sit alone 😞

[–] anarchoilluminati@hexbear.net 13 points 1 week ago

Corvid crew.

[–] astronot@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Corvids for sure. The birds of prey are cool, but a little aloof and they'd probably ignore me. The shore birds are too skittish, they'd scatter as soon as I looked in their direction. The songbirds are nice, but too small and musical. The waterfowls are just complete assholes. But the corvids, when you're friends with them, you're set.

[–] Carl@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago

corvids are nerds (that's me)

waterfowl are crunchy libs

songbirds are band geeks

shorebirds are fascists

birds of prey are jocks

hummingbirds (not shown) are the popular kids

[–] Rey_McSriff@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago
[–] Hestia@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago

Corvid gang

[–] LargeAdultRedBook@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago
[–] culpritus@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'd say with the predator birds, but I'm not that seriously sporty. So probably the corvids and the shore birds, the freaks and geeks.

[–] BoxedFenders@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Those shore birds are voracious killers just as terrifying as any raptor. The ancestral code in my DNA gets flashbacks to our days of scurrying away from dinosaurs whenever I see a heron spearing a rodent in the bush.

[–] culpritus@hexbear.net 5 points 1 week ago

Ya, the stab-prone gangly type. They are mostly harmless to other birds though in comparison.

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago

nowhere because these bird sized tables are way too small for me

[–] Bronstein_Tardigrade@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I notice no one has invited seagulls to sit at their table.

[–] gayspacemarxist@hexbear.net 1 points 1 week ago

Aren't seagulls corvids?

[–] machiabelly@hexbear.net 8 points 1 week ago

I really long time ago I spent a long time looking into what Daemon I would have in the his dark materials series. I consistently got songbird. So I'll sit with the songbirds.

[–] KuroXppi@hexbear.net 8 points 1 week ago

I wanna say corvids but in reality seabirds so long as there's no lapwings at the table

[–] BodyBySisyphus@hexbear.net 7 points 1 week ago

Corvids are passerines i-think-that

[–] corvidenjoyer@hexbear.net 7 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

There is only one answer.

bird-mad

[–] pinguinu@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 1 week ago

Go corvids!

[–] fakeman_pretendname@feddit.uk 4 points 1 week ago

I don't mind specifically, but as far as possible from any Seagulls.
