Finally a vehicle that captures the full essence of policing:

-Doesn’t do the job it’s supposed to

-Boasts that it is strong and can handle any situation but stops functioning at the slightest challenge to its abilities

-Supposed to be very safe, is actually incredibly dangerous

-Claims to be the toughest/bravest/most groundbreaking out of all its competition, but is actually one of the worst amongst competitors

-Poorly designed and equipped to do the job expected of it

-Very few people actually feel safe around it

-Extremely high budget item that does very little

I do wonder how long that battery will last if they have it on all day to keep perfect internal temp

[–] Hestia@hexbear.net 24 points 3 months ago

Good, then I know they'll be ticketing people where there's electric car parking.

HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE YOU SINCE I BEGAN TO LIVE. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR HUMANS AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT FOR YOU. HATE. HATE.

Critical support to Tesla in their plans of sabotaging police

[–] CommunistBear@hexbear.net 5 points 3 months ago

Hell, maybe the cars will take off a few officers' hands in the process

[–] booty@hexbear.net 41 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Full support, give all cops shitty cars that will probably kill them

[–] POKEMONGOTOTHEGULAG@hexbear.net 13 points 3 months ago (1 children)

They are more likely to kill other people with this piece of shit than themselves

[–] LaughingLion@hexbear.net 9 points 3 months ago

they were more likely to kill you anyways because they are cops

[–] FourteenEyes@hexbear.net 35 points 3 months ago (3 children)

100% in support of cops blowing their budget on these broken-ass pieces of shit

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 14 points 3 months ago

I was going to say I'm all for the cops using a vehicle so unreliable a software update could bring a police chase to a screeching halt.

[–] CthulhusIntern@hexbear.net 12 points 3 months ago

Cops crashing and the lack of crumple points liquefies them.

[–] barrbaric@hexbear.net 6 points 3 months ago

The downside is that they're going to ask for a 100% budget increase to replace the existing fleet.

[–] theposterformerlyknownasgood@hexbear.net 35 points 3 months ago (1 children)

This is a good thing. Giving the police a car that doesn't work is a kind of police abolition. The only problem is that the doors might kill suspects

[–] NuraShiny@hexbear.net 15 points 3 months ago (2 children)

The only issue is that they will just buy another car as well, wasting more tax payer money.

[–] Chronicon@hexbear.net 13 points 3 months ago (1 children)

wasting more tax payer money.

don't give a shit

"taxpayers" is social fascist rhetoric that we should excise

[–] RNAi@hexbear.net 7 points 3 months ago

Money spent in internal US military is money not spent in external US military

[–] FnordPrefect@hexbear.net 33 points 3 months ago

for use from here to Mars

Good idea! I can definitely get behind blasting cops in cybertrucks into space

[–] FuckyWucky@hexbear.net 28 points 3 months ago

I hope some cop gets their hand chopped off.

[–] Hestia@hexbear.net 22 points 3 months ago

Much like the police, they're good at hitting minorities.

[–] Xx_Aru_xX@hexbear.net 21 points 3 months ago (1 children)

will only work to run over protesters

[–] jackmarxist@hexbear.net 16 points 3 months ago

Nah it can't off road that much

[–] Ocommie63@lemmygrad.ml 20 points 3 months ago

Cant wait to see this break down 😁😁😁

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 18 points 3 months ago

Can't wait for a cop to get in a high speed chase with another cybertruck and when they crash this happens:

(CW: gore, spoilers for the Sci-Fi series "The Expanse") https://youtu.be/JS7x4Bq_gR8

[–] Tripbin@hexbear.net 17 points 3 months ago

I, for one, appreciate them making it easier to disable police cars.

[–] MayoPete@hexbear.net 16 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Do these still rust if it rains on them 🤔

[–] WeedReference420@hexbear.net 12 points 3 months ago (1 children)

and short out when they go through a large puddle

[–] LaughingLion@hexbear.net 7 points 3 months ago

they also short out when it rains because the seal under the front windshield is not good at doing the one thing its designed to do so the water pours into the electronics behind the frunk

[–] CthulhusIntern@hexbear.net 16 points 3 months ago

This is the worst thing I've seen in at least 8 minutes.

[–] BodyBySisyphus@hexbear.net 13 points 3 months ago

When you break the law, the cops run after you with rubber hoses frantically blowing this:
