I try not to judge people for being victims of the environment we find ourselves in unless they have a lot of material power, but god damn to Chuds of all kinds make me want to shove their heads in a toilet.

Yes you fucking idiot, it's totally queers, poc and women ruining the world and not the insatiable rapacious greed of the rich. You talk about hating wealthy elites while bootlicking the biggest right-wing grifters on the planet. Yes fuckhead, those sigma grindset business moguls that you look up to so much are definitely not wealthy elites, so smart.

You're not a rebel, you're a cynical coward who desperately wants to become the very type of person who is making your life miserable because you're too weak and scared to stand up to the real threat to your freedom, capitalism.

When I think of cowardice I usually picture someone who ran from danger or someone curled up under a table with a hand over their mouth, which is the kind of terror that invites sympathy.

Here's a good quote from Grapes of Wrath

Earlier today, I was reading an abstract of a paper that showed there was a relationship between being an overly fearful child and eventually becoming a conservative adult.

Is the inverse true? Cause I recall racing computer chairs down incredibly steep hills as a kid

I really need to read that book. Whenever I see someone post a quote from it, it's always a banger.

I really hate Libs but Chuds literally think being a "free thinker" actually equates to being purposely stupid as fuck.

Get em dirt owl. It really is incredibly irritating how willfully stupid they are while they posture themselves as subversive. Oh you believe all the most wealthy and powerful people are actually good and should run society? What a revolutionary notion!

Let me guess, someone stole your sweet roll?

But if I give Andrew Tate more money I'll totally be an alpha male.

[–] Hestia@hexbear.net 4 points 11 months ago

At what point does it become a fetish? It's some pay pig type shit with alpha-male flavoring. You give them money, and they do nothing for you except call you a worthless beta

you're too weak and scared to stand up to the real threat to your freedom, capitalism.

I don't think that's what they're scared of, they don't see capitalism as a threat to their freedom, even if that might be the case on a long enough timeline. what they're scared of is introspecting and investigating their beliefs, from where their thoughts and opinions originate, to what the real material outcomes would result from them. you might notice that their a lot of their beliefs are based on faulty presumptions (for example, the idea that black americans live in luxury off welfare and social programs) but were you to correct them with the reality (the extent to which poor people of any race benefit from welfare is exaggerated and restricted through things like means testing) they will either deflect by nitpicking about sources and figures or simply stay quiet about it and try to change the topic of conversation.

if they were to do some introspection, it would become obvious that what they want goes against the liberal ideals that have dominated the west since post-WWII like "equality of opportunity" and "all men (people) are created equal", and that if they had to openly confront this, they'd realize their ideology is based on being a selfish asshole, which would at best (for them) invite social ostracism from other people recognizing them for the assholes they are, and at worst cause a whole identity crisis from seeing the contradictions in their ideology.

The other thing is they ALWAYS AVOID SAYING WHAT THEY MEAN!

They're fucking cowardly when it comes to admitting that they believe horrible shit when they know they'll be challenged on it. It's like pulling teeth getting them to admit they think Muslims are subhuman, for example.
