purity politics is bad when liberal politicians get called out for being racist liars
but its good when center left politicians are being told their politics are too far to the left
have no principles and believe in nothing
Huh, almost like communists have a point when we do purges which is why liberals get redacted by Georgie Cromwell. I love how libs don't understand what to do against reactionaries, but all of a sudden become politically literate when they have to stamp out anyone left of Dick Cheney.
Notably they do not list Fascism specifically in the things to not promote section.
Why would they, it's a reddit sub and it's not incompatible with liberalism
I'd prefer they do that rather than attempt to horseshoe theory their way into "fascists and communists are the same actually" by grouping those into the same cluster
If they did that they'd have to ban every liberal commenter that gets scratched
Based on the heading, this is specifically an anti-left rule and they probably have another rule banning fascists. These people are still reactionary scum and I bet they're more tolerant of Republicans than even socdems, of course.
Because they need to promote the Democratic party of America.
Do not promote "purity politics"......except for our own
Those last two stipulations are really interesting as a pair.
Also interesting that there's no rule against libertarianism.
:19::84:
Huh, same rules as the liberal mainstream media, except it did not include, "Do not criticize Israel."
Nah that's under other parties policies or ideologies
You guys wanna take my new purity test?
Liberals slowly adopting all the policies of a besieged socialist country but about problems 0.0001% as important
So are Maoists allowed?
turns out this is the sidebar of /r/PrincipallyMaoism
These make sense as rules in a forum dedicated to the Democratic party and its politics. Also very on brand for them to do zero self reflection over the fact that apparently even among people this heavily invested in the Democratic party there seems to be major interest in independents, third parties and "other political ideologies". A quick forum rule should take care of that problem and then we'll never have to think about it again.
least authoritarian democrats
PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE LITTLE DOG PULLING BACK THE CURTAIN
Let me guess...
