Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). If he won't debate her, then I think after every one of his rallies she should start dropping tiktoks, youtube shorts, or whatever, where she replays something he said, and then debunks it with hard facts.

[–] Mostly_Gristle@lemmy.world 66 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I feel like they should be doing that regardless.

[–] Bytemeister@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

The targeted audience will never see it. Spam him on TS with "It's been X days since DJT realized he was too scared to debate the Vice President."

[–] M500@lemmy.ml 50 points 3 months ago (3 children)

She’s should get a Trump impersonator to say these things live on stage and then debunk them.

[–] jaaake@lemmy.world 33 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Honestly, I love this, but I think the impersonator aspect cheapens it. Take clips of things he’s said and play them on a screen behind a podium across the stage from her. Have a moderator prompt the clips, have her rebuke/fact check them. Done.

He doesn’t want to debate? Fine, we’ll have the debate without him. He’s already said what the people need to know. We just need to cut through the mountains of indecipherable bullshit he’s said while meandering around the point. Do him a favor and edit that down to his actual stance, as succinctly and clearly as possible. Don’t turn it into a joke making fun of how terrible he is at speaking, show people what he really wants to do.

Holy shit, that would be legitimately great television.

[–] HWK_290@lemmy.world 20 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Imagine Kamala debating Alec Baldwin as Trump. I know he's persona non grata right now, but Trump's meltdown would be bigger than Vesuvius

[–] CoggyMcFee@lemmy.world 12 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

Tbh right now they have a way better Trump impersonator on SNL than Alec Baldwin anyway. She should legit go on SNL and do a fake debate with him. But I don’t think NBC would actually allow it.

[–] evatronic@lemm.ee 12 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It would be better if they got a terrible one. Like Keenan in a blonde wig.

[–] CoggyMcFee@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

I can definitely see the appeal of going that direction too. But for me personally, the current guy James Austin Johnson nails the “Trump is a rambling stream-of-consciousness insane liar who doesn’t even use English correctly” angle so perfectly that he’s the one I’d opt for.

[–] groupofcrows@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 months ago

Someone should check if rosie o'donnell would like to play the role. Trump loves her. /S

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

That would be funny, but I dont think it'd land well at all. She'd be mocked like when Clint Eastwood debated the chair.

[–] eran_morad@lemmy.world 11 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Alec Baldwin. It’d induce aneurysms across the right. Probably thin out their voter ranks.

[–] nonailsleft@lemm.ee 12 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Have Baldwin do a skit about shooting him

Claims it was because Obama hadn't endorsed her and she might be replaced.

The Obamas Endorse Harris

[–] TRBoom@lemm.ee 35 points 3 months ago

I love the timing on all of this.

[–] eran_morad@lemmy.world 96 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

This is some real shit. This is what I want to see. A black woman is going to grab him by the pussy, get into that diminished mind of his, drive him further into dementia. Imagine the indignity he must feel. Some top-notch mindfuck shit.

His three election foes as the three-headed knight. Harris could be the head that wants to kill him. Hillary's the one that wants tea. Biden is the one with the hiccups.

[–] zephorah@lemm.ee 18 points 3 months ago

Bone spurs. That’s why.

[–] HubertManne@moist.catsweat.com 63 points 3 months ago

I love how weak and pathetic he looks now. More in line with who he actually is.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 61 points 3 months ago

Trumps afraid of a GIRL!

[–] Passerby6497@lemmy.world 55 points 3 months ago

Trump any time he's asked to debate Kamala

[–] kikutwo@lemmy.world 50 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Would be elder abuse as she guts him.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 43 points 3 months ago

I’ll allow it.

[–] TacticsConsort@yiffit.net 47 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Foreseeable, and unfortunately the best move Trump could have made. Kamala would have just vaporized him

[–] v4ld1z@lemmy.zip 11 points 3 months ago

Health-conscious too since it's better than smoking. She's only getting better and better

[–] mosiacmango@lemm.ee 1 points 3 months ago

Maybe not. She can heckle and deride him not stop about this for months, and the only thing he can do to stop it is to debate her.

[–] Commiunism@lemmy.wtf 38 points 3 months ago

Conservatives only debate students who don't know any better or barely coherent geriatrics, and it's never in good faith

[–] radivojevic@discuss.online 20 points 3 months ago

What a wimp.

[–] DmMacniel@feddit.org 12 points 3 months ago

Who could have forseen this? Utterly shocking!

[–] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 10 points 3 months ago

This reminds me of The Princess Bride. That moment when Inigo finally runs into the six-fingered Count Rugen in the castle hall, and finally says "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die," proving his drivenness. And then he gets into position, and levels his sword at his foe, proving his competency. And then Rugen gets into position. And levels his sword at his foe. And...turns on his heel and sprints in the opposite direction.
