Burgundian Kettle is a trash tier Kettle Helmet, but they're my favourite kind.
The rest are for poncy knights, Kettle Hats are the workhorse of helmet designs.

Hounskull looks like a muppet. Like you would slip in the mud and look up to them mocking you.
It does look ridiculous but I think that cuts both ways. I imagine looking over to see your friends getting cut down by some merciless armored fighter, and all you see when you look over is this doofy snout helmet covered in gore, dark eye slits staring back as he walk toward you like some murderous steel pigman. Nightmare.
Barbute looks cute
The frogmouth looks like it's made to deflect arrows and maybe transfer energy from getting bopped on the head down into your shoulders. Can you even swivel your head around inside it or is your head basically held in place? If you could that might be a good concept for a helmet, the enemy wouldn't even know where you're looking. That would be really intimidating.

I wasn't too far off thinking it was for arrows then.
it was bolted in place. these late jousting pieces were significantly thicker and made inflexible to remove as much vulnerability as possible, because no one wants to die playing games, and you don't move much on the lists. the slit is still where you could get seriously injured, but that was as good as it could get at the time.

I have had to wear a helmet for work. The one I wear is most like a sallet. If the other ones were so good we'd still be using them.
Shout out to the kettle hat though. Being able to hear and breath properly is gonna do more to keep me from getting got in the face than any extra weight will.

I've always been partial to the hounskull, I think it looks sick as hell either with full plate harness or even just with lighter chain/gambeson and gauntlets. And I like the kettle hat because it's got a real good balance between protection and practicality, if you absolutely have to have your face uncovered for visibility reasons then it's about as good as it gets
Frog-mouth is also fun just cause it's silly looking, I don't like it very much for practicality though

spose i gotta go with spangenhelm then, gotta rock chainmail face protection, breathable without compromising on coverage (though a bit weaker)

I mean the sallet is just kind of the best one here along with the armet. The frog mouth is also good but I think it's specialized for jousting if I recall.
Also the hounskull there is just a bascinet with a visor and an oddly scaled aventail.

The fencer in me is leaning toward the Spangenhelm.
I'd take the spangenhelm but I just know I'd get busted in the mouth for the crime of fashion, so I'll take the hounskull instead
Bascinet just looks perfectly designed to tell enemies where to stab you, and the frog mouth just looks embarrassing. Hounskull looks funny but I'd love to have that during a fight and then headsmack someone with it.
