Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Of course it is. Nothing in his history would make anyone sane believe he'd be anywhere near active flood waters. Or even wear a safety vest on the first place.

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 87 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Trump claimed to have sent workers to Ground Zero after the 9/11 attacks.

Not only didn't Trump send workers, he didn't do anything for the volunteers who did show up.

Plenty of places were offering volunteers rooms and / or food during the clean up operations. Trump's properties were locked tight.

He did take money becuase he was a 'small business' owner.

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 75 points 1 month ago

Don't forget him bragging that he now held the tallest skyscrapers on the NYC skyline.

[–] Atom@lemmy.world 69 points 1 month ago (1 children)

He did also claim, on 9/11 mind you, that he now had the tallest building in Manhattan. Which wasn't even true.

This guy has to be exhausted for constantly coming up with the worst fucking takes, lying to boost his own ego and generally being a giant dumbass. I'm exhausted for him.

[–] JoMiran@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 month ago

...anyone sane...

[–] Blackout@fedia.io 49 points 1 month ago

They had to. It's far too dangerous for him to be near actual water. If his diaper gets too saturated it will drag him under.

[–] Nuke_the_whales@lemmy.world 36 points 1 month ago (1 children)

He's wearing jeans in the photo for once. I can't imagine him ever wearing jeans

[–] zephorah@lemm.ee 24 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I doubt that man even owns a pair of jeans.

[–] undercrust@lemmy.ca 13 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That dump truck of an ass would never fit into a pair of Levi's

If it were real, that'd be an incredibly dangerous thing to do--even with a life preserver vest--and a physically taxing one, as well. Neither of which Trump would be doing.

[–] NuXCOM_90Percent@lemmy.zip 29 points 1 month ago (6 children)

I mean, drowning is kind of the least of your worries in those situations.

NEVER walk through even suburban flood waters unless it is life or death. Because you know those things called "sewers"? Yeah, they are under there. And if the water has reached the point where it is even a foot off the ground? Then those sewers are entirely(-ish) full and that "water" contains significant amounts of poo, medical waste, chemicals, and so forth. Let alone corpses of animals... and people.

So that is basically liquid hepatitis and Erastil knows what else.

It is also why you NEVER buy a car that has been in a flood area and houses really should be basically demolished at that point (but aren't because Capitalism).

I find it funny how MAGAts spend all this effort creating photos of Trump looking and acting how they envision him in their heads - because he's never going to do or be any of them.

  • Naked with chiseled abs? Nope
  • Interacting with his followers? Nope
  • Wading through the floodwaters? Nope
  • Slender? Nope
  • Cradling or caring for children? Nope. Well, not released yet anyway
  • Leading a charge into battle? Nope
[–] hperrin@lemmy.world 29 points 1 month ago

You know what is a real photo? This one.

[–] WoahWoah@lemmy.world 25 points 1 month ago

You can tell it's AI because it tried to make his hands normal sized.

[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 16 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I don’t think Trump has ever worn jeans.

[–] smeenz@lemmy.nz 9 points 1 month ago

On the other hand, wearing jeans in water is just the sort of stupid thing he might do, like looking at the sun during an eclipse.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Gotta downvote this link to a horrible site. So many ads and pop-ups, and I never saw the picture in question

[–] 5oap10116@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago (2 children)

There's nothing wrong with those hands. There's ~15-18 fingers between the two of them and the joints are totally in the right place.

[–] jjjalljs@ttrpg.network 4 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Oh gosh I looked at the hand and think I lost 2d4 sanity points.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

And the other hand is giant. Trump is well known for his giant manly hands

It’s amazing how many glitches people are able to spot. I don’t really have an eye for that level of detail but usually just get a vague unnaturallness

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago

At this point they're long-standing bugs.

[–] cultsuperstar@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Haha they think he would be caught dead wearing jeans. Jeans are poor people's clothes.

[–] CaptnNMorgan@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago (2 children)

You don't use ad-blockers?

[–] Waldowal@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (3 children)

I use Android (Samsung) and I've never been able to find one that works. Sometimes I use Chrome, but many apps, like Connect for Lemmy have a builtin web viewer that I think is using the native web browser (so I need something that covers both). I would appreciate any suggestions.

Anybody have a link to the image? Article is paywalled.

[–] NABDad@lemmy.world 30 points 1 month ago (4 children)
[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Pffft. Who can't see that that's ai generated? Also how weird is it to see Trump in anything but suit or silly golf clothes? Jeans and a button up is entirely to normal for the orange man to wear.

[–] parrhesia@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That and his weird claw right hand

[–] Rai@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 month ago

And the other guy’s hat!

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Thanks!

Yep where is the massive diaper?

Many thanks!

[–] 21Cabbage@lemmynsfw.com 5 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Ugh. Can people seriously not tell an image is llm generated at a glance? The lighting and shading is always all fucked up in a way that makes it all look fake, like toys.

[–] techwithjake@lemm.ee 4 points 1 month ago

His cult is so used to seeing fake images that they have a hard time telling reality from fiction. They have to constantly photoshop him into looking like a strong man that they've forgotten what a unfit, blob of a man he really looks like.

Don't feel left out, it's not easily found amount the ass and garbage.

[–] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 12 points 1 month ago (1 children)

If a good percentage of Americans can fall for Turnip

... a good percentage of them will fall for this image.

Yeah, no shit.

[–] ohellidk@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 month ago

Love how all of the sudden, Facebook is now the expert at identifying AI pictures, despite constantly falling for them almost every time.

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 8 points 1 month ago

I mean what would even be the purpose of intentionally wading through water? Don't they usually do fly overs to view the aftermath?

Even if this was true, it would just be evidence that he did a stupid PR stunt for votes...

[–] 800XL@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

That fat fuck can't swim, come on. Lol.

[–] Raglesnarf@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

yea. no dip

[–] kibiz0r@midwest.social 4 points 1 month ago

We’re gonna need something like C2PA before the next election.
