"Kidnapped from his tank" has to be one of the most self-evidently egregious bits of journalistic malpractice from this whole thing.
It takes no context at all to know that if someone is in a tank, they're a solider, and soldiers don't get "kidnapped", they get captured.
There can't even be a subconscious bias by "journalists" who have fully bought the propaganda making them write it without thinking about it. There's no way to mentally form the phrase "kidnapped from his tank" without absolutely knowing what you're doing.
I would say I hope they feel a little shame each time they write that, but I know they don't.
